I'm absolutely tired of purists. They wanna be pure about the NBA game then go create ya own league. You can't stop evolution.

If you want a better product of basketball, you can't talk about it, you have to teach it. In football, we said, "Yo the 3-4 defense is whats hot, we want hybrid DE's/OLB." Guess whats coming out of college AND high school, hybrid players.

For everybody that complains about the state of basketball, the problem starts at the bottom. If you create a better product, you get a better game.

If you're ok with having a 6'8 PF and a 6'8 SG whom despite being the same size have totally different skill sets, then fine, that's your bed go lay in it. But as a football person, thats unacceptable. Demand more out of your players. Stop drafting Centers off the strength of their height and draft them off the strength of their...........strengths duh.

But if I'm a college player, who sees a wackass Euro dude get drafted, and I'm better than him, why would I stay in school? From a players perspective how does that make sense?

i agree with you on that the euro players should have to wait to enter the draft too. But some of theses guys are acting like all the euro players suck last time i checked a euro player just won the finals mvp

I agree niggas in europe have like 1 highlight video from 1 game and get drafted high but honestly its not much different in college ball. After the first 15 picks some of theese niggas only had NIT highlights or were not standout niggas in college basketball. We cant act like the talent from college basketball is inferior. Niggas need to work on their game more before draft day weather its staying 3 years instead of 1 (even with the hype to leave early) or its going internationally and wooping theese euros to show the nba your not playing. FACT: College basketball is a joke now you play bum ass easy schedueles and even the top powerhouses are not complete teams. If college basketball was more talented i would be more pissed but real talk its terrible right now. How does jimmer get player of the year and he cant guard a pylon?

If theese college players are so much better than the euros then show it in summer league! or what ever they will have after the lockout is done. All the great college players got drafted first 15 picks everyone else is scrubs thats what i took out of the draft. If a nigga is a dark horse than he will prove himself in workouts, summer leagues as he progresses.

but most times the college basketball picks do thats what i was talking about if a college basketball player really feels they were drafted low prove yourself in the d league or whatever to make it to the team and take the euros spot. I'm just saying that if you're going to tell an American athelete he must stay a certain # of years in college, you better not turn around a draft a Euro that is wacker than him.

The only thing that should dictate the draft is talent/character issues.

I see where you are coming from with the propoganda to stay in college longer which screws ppl over. However i think the BIGGER issue is players not understanding A) your not as good as your think regardless of if you are mr basketball in your state or region every top D1 player has that your not as good as your think....and then B) it does not matter how many years you stay its about consistently improving yourself on the things that are going to get you on an nba team. I think especally when it comes to big men these niggas are NOT working hard enough to elevate their game like kemba did last summer. Niggas dicking around in theese summer leagues flexing and dunking on niggas they know they can beat. But niggas need to be hitting the gym 3 times as hard as they were...niggas need to find an NBA mentor whos in the league or retired and work out with them to improve so they can raise their stock. If more niggas did this we woudln't have to outsource nba jobs to Europe and africa.

Staying in college 4 years doesn't even matter anymore. If you stay, they'll say you maximized your potential or some shit, and draft a freshman that was a McDonald's All-American the year prior or some young dude from overseas with raw talent....I just say stay long enough until your stock is high, then go......I'd only stay in school until I was a guaranteed lottery pick, or until my eligibility was gone....
