ASAP doesn't act like a southern nigga really he has some weird shit he just brew together and then kids like it.he got lucky IMO..

Lack of radio support

Not enough unity

Niggas from NY being too in touch with dj khaled, ross, and wayne

Yo what's good with some new new yitty underground shit I like stuff like roc marciano cormega Sean price and mobb deep and stuff like that?im lost got some new shit...

shit just got wack

no excuses

call it wat it is, shit got wack as fuck

everybody got wack except jay, nas, and fab

who the best rapper to come out of ny in the last ten years? asap? stop it

id rather go with maino and that aint sayin much

I guess 50 if it's the last ten years.i still think pap and Saigon and even Munda could have moved some units at least gold records and be established had they not let up...

Btw the jay clone was called NOE

I think it's mainly because the entire city was beefing with each other

West and the south had unity like no one else. I can post at least 20 west coast Collabs with 10 artists on each just reppin the west. And the same with south

Midwest never had that unity either, that's why theres only been 4-5+ niggas from the chi that BLEW UP

and st lu, cleveland, Detroit, Indiana and so and so

Y'all had Dmx beefing with jay and ja rule

Prodigy beefing with jay and nas

50 beefing with the entire new York

GHost and Rae beefing with biggie

Biggie beefing with nas

Tru life beefing with dipset

Roc beefing with dipset

Beans beefing with jada

I can go on and on. How do u expect unity when u can't even make a song with someone because your boy or affiliate is beefin with someone from their camp

50 killed east coast rap along with the east dickriding the south. When u see jada kiss rappin along side master p u know shit got ugly.

To me it was punchline and mixtape clone wares....At one point everyone new was a fab jada jay z banks and Cassidy clone and niggas associated east coast rap with oversized fitted and white t,s and screaming punch lines into a digi cam on utube.

Shit got extremely corny after 50 came out because now everyone was dropping four or five albums worth of mix CDs plus everyone was on the I just came home,I got shot type shit.

Maaad niggas lost they buzz too and it's still happening.from Saigon, pappoose, uncle Murder, jhood,J mills to nowadays with red cafe and French dropping after the buzzed peaked...same shit almost happened to ASAP but he has a young boy audience.

I been saying this shit since the g unit era east coast niggas need to take shit underground and Indy prove they can sell then drop.these labels can't stand the NYC hood nigga image it ain't marketable to them anymore.

yup when guys like saigon and pap really put that indy hat on and jump in they van start going from ny to ct to nj to pa to de to md to nc to sc to va and to ny and do it all over again ... they gonna be stuck and bitter ... dudes gotta really get on they grind if they believe in thier music and PUSH IT !! thats what they do down south .... dudes in atl dont just be in atl ... them dudes be way out FL to LA to NA to Al to TX to OK to CA and even hit up the east then back to GA etc ....

To be honest it was the lack of new blood. That was the constant with the South. Since the South's rise there have constantly been new cats coming and going, adding new elements to the genre (positive or negative, your opinion).

No one Southern city has dominated for too long, ATL is the only constant but Tex, FL, NO/Louisiana, Tennessee all have had a run and it stays fresh.

50 was the last NY nigga really adding something different to the game, and then he went the Ja Rule route and offed himself.

What did 50 add that was different? lmaooo, yall kill me with your lack of knowledge on hiphop, next time just keep your mouth shut nigga.
