So Jay has been a rocker, a skateboarder, emo, a crip, a blood?

Ok so why do a lotta the more real hardcore Jay fans on here get upset when people point out his Music lacks Emotion?

Yet now you flipping the script it's ok Jay isn't Emotional now when it suits your agenda and Lil Wayne isn't particularly Emotional either yes he well have the few odd Song's here and there like Drop The World but for the most part he isn't Emotional like an Eminem, 2pac, Cudi etc Wayne is like Jay they real flashy and don't make that kinda Emotional Music they more like the Biggie, LL Cool J, Cam, Snoop type real flashy real bragging and materalistic

Jay was a rap-Cocaine-kingpin back when Wayne was simply a Hot-boy.

Before Wayne picked up his guitar JayZ was doing entire albums with Linkin Park and duets with Lenny Kravitz.

Before LiL Wayne was riding a skateboard JayZ was riding a Roller-Coaster in the "Sunshine" video.

If LiL Wayne is EMO then who was the first rapper to make the "Song cry"?

To his credit JayZ has not embraced any gang-affiliation but he has claimed ties to Calvin "Kliene" Bacote's drug-gang which Calvin vehemently refuted while relegating Shawn Carter to Mule status.

So before we chastise Wayne for his marketing genius let us take a deeper look at the rappers who laid the Blueprint.

Reasonable Doubt is not a mafioso album for one thing.

Agree with Vol 1 thing, he admits that it is his biggest regret to this day

How is it a trend to work with those dudes, at that point Jay was bigger than all them niggas. You acting like those dudes were bubbling

How the fuck is it a trend to duet with other people. Trend means (JUMPING ON WHAT EVERYONE IS DOING), genius.

LMFAO at using UGK, Jay is coming off a 5 times platinum album working with gold artist is trend hopping. How was UGK trendy?

Once again, how was working with the Neptunes a trend. Aside from Nore and Mystikal, who did the Neptunes fuck with?

LOL so working and giving a unknown Kanye, Just Blaze, and Bink is a trend now? Because everyone was dieing for their beats! smh

BP2, lol Jay was bigger than both Nas and Beyonce at that stage. He gave her street credibility following the DC backlash.

What is the gimmick of the black album, it's not like he needed a gimmick to sell. He thought he was done.

Once again, how is working with other artist a gimmick. Linkin Park reached out to Jay-z, not the other way around.

etc

I'm not even gonna entertain the other nonsense because it's pure fuckery.

When you look at the year Wayne debuted, then look at his total domestic sales, it really puts shit into perspective. He was really a small figure for most his career. Its not like he.dominated since his first outting. He went years without a platinum plaque. Juvenile was able to do in one album what Wayne couldn't do in four. He doing his thing now, but his early solo career is barely worth mentioning. As far as him falling off, ofcourse its gonna happen.

And that's why the fans appreciate LiL Tunechi, because ^^^^he built his fan base from the ground up and didn't rely on one gimmick or one huge single, or one spectacular album.

^^^^he sharpened his sword with the Hot Boys, ^^^^he kicked down the door with the Carter 1 and put his boot down wit the Carter 3, and in between time ^^^^he reinvented himself with Rebirth.

He has steadily gained momentum like a train building steam and now he is at full speed chugging ahead of everybody.

Juvenile is a broken man who begged Ricky Rozay to help him get his career back on track but the trains that run on these tracks in 2011 are built for speed and Juve is an older model that can't move as fast as the Weezy Express.

Consistency is the key and longevity is the lock.

LL was innovative, creative, and a trend-setter. He was labeled as a sex symbol by the ladies, but at the same time, dudes knew not to try him. He'll hit you with a I need love, and turn around and let his peers know he's still the best with the I Shot Ya shit. There were not more meaningful acts than LL. He was the King is his own right and inspired damn near every rapper after him. Wayne is not on the level of LL.

Wayne is like this generation's JayZ. He follows trends, he's forced on the fans, but at the same time dude has talent and he's great at marketing himself. No one is going to say Wayne is wack, the same way they won't say Jay is wack, but at the same time they don't compare to the tier 1 emcees that they're rated on par with. If you disagree then you're pretty much admitting that you can't see things objectively. Most people in that 24-35 range thinks Jay is a GOAT, the same way 13-18 think Wayne is a GOAT. It's literally the same thing, it's just you guys are on that elitist shit where your pop star is better than this generation's pop star.

Wayne has been in the game since the 90's, so comparing him to people that came and went is stupid.

He's dope, stop hating.

^^^^^^^*female post*^^^^^^^^^^^

Not quite understanding where the hate is in my post. And If you re- read what I wrote. Then re-read what you wrote. You will see that there Is quite a misunderstanding on your behalf.
