I wouldn't have a problem with that at all with him being the ambassodor, it's not hard for wayne to get the listeners listening, hopefully over time he'll continue to grow and not regress because he has an opportunity to wake up even the most unconscious mind if he could wake himself up.

I happy for him cuz he paid his dues. He been rappin since the mid 90s came out of the other hot boys shadows and is the biggest mainstream artist out. He is talented when he wants to be no hate here. Just wish he would stop rapping about nothing these days but just like with other artists he is at teh point in his career where his name sells and anything he puts out will sell

Personally feel Kanye's music will be about one of the few people who will make the transition when this music phase is over. You can't front on Waynes numbers to me it's mass produced low quality shit, it's not built to last (not timeless).

It will be interesting to see what happens when Wayne gets in his mid to late 30s and if his subject matter or lack there of will catch up to him. His fanbase now will grow up eventually, question is will they stick with him or move on to more mature artist.

How do you explain him gaining 1.5 MILLION fans since the first Carter.

C1 - 500,000
C2 - 1Mill

The Carter 4 is still on the charts moving chunky units heading into the holiday season so don't jump the gun.

Waynes career has not been on a downward spiral since his debut, he's built momentum and reinvented himself while compiling a team of young-bloods to keep his movement aimed at that coveted 15-25 demographic that scream at concerts and still use ring-tones.

Not mad at all. I've only bought 1 Wayne album in my lifetime. But I respect Dude! And when he did that lil' video fiasco a coupla months ago about keeping it real I respected Him even More. I've always held the premise that he is this Generations LL Cool J. When L was banging we loved Him. But we still allowed room for other, More meaningful acts. Thats how I feel about Wayne. He may make you nod your head. but there are other artists nearer, and dearer to the heart.

You under estimate the idiocy of americans, wayne has grown ass fans, i know a 40 year old african security guard who's a wayne stan. college niccas were fukkin with wayne in 06, he got a whole new bopper fanbase since then that wont be in their mid 20's for a decade. waynes is the second biggest rapper ever, behind the white boy, pac never had this popularity when he was alive. Hate it or love it he has this generation on lock.

Cash-Money was ahead of the curve and they sensed the shift in the genre and adapted to it. The hyper-masculine posturing has been replaced with emo metro-sexuality. The switch was to mirror the consumers in style, swag, lingo and appearance instead of setting the trends...Wayne pioneered this and it's proven to be lucrative.

Being ahead of the curve once again we have "How to Love" a mature, sensitive, gentle ode full of subject-matter and substance so the consumer has already been prepped for "Substance-Wayne" if he needs to go their on his next project.

If you are aware that we are living in a Fast-Food era how could you bet against mass produced low quality Mickey D's?

No it isn't. It stopped at 878,000

I should have checked the RIAA but I never anticipated by friend Bcotton trying to deceive me

Forgive the error.

His consistency is a testament to his brilliance in regards to marketing himself, and promoting himself.

The critics trashed C4 yet 2 million people purchased it for $10 instead of downloading it for free....that's powerful.

t/s you do realize that just because wayne can sell million+ albums today doesn't mean that he will "never fall off". word to nelly, 50, & ja rule.

2 of his last 3 albums have been sub-par. eventually casual fans will move on if he keeps droppin poor music.

i hope wayne steps his game back up and release some better albums, cause hate or love it, he is the voice of this generation.

I'll give Wayne credit, he knows how to jump on trends to stay current. Be it being a crip, then a blood, then a Dipset/east coast style, then rocker, then skateboarder, now emo. Lets hope the next trend is a coherent rapper.
