J Cole can not cross over and create a succsful Hit Single to save his life

Who Dat failed and flopped terribley

Work Out failed and flopped terribley

Can't Get Enough flopped and failed terribley

And these are some of the most Pop, commercial, friendley Singles you can hear with big names like Trey Songz featuring yet still flopping

Selling about 200K means nothing if you not getting a Plaque or headlining your own tour

Same with Producing no Rappers are going to J Cole for Beats or interested in his Beats at all

and despite all that, he still sold well first week especially in this climate, shut your mouth bitch

Foolish bet.

Anybody that keeps their ears to the industry would know not to underestimate the selling power of a J.Cole in this era.

Wale is on a roll right now with the biggest song of his career in rotation and he has a heavy buzz with the college crowd and the Sista's so the sky is the limit.

I think J. Cole has more cross-over appeal but Wale got his city behind him and a stronger team.

Wale should definitely do better numbers this time around, I'm definitely supporting him

I disagree, I think J.Cole can tap into the same fan-base as the Wiz Khalifah's, Cudi's, Drake's, and B.o.B's.

250K first week is great for a debut in this era especially for an artist that docent cater his music to the PoP crowd.

False, if you ever been to a J Cole show you would know his fanbase is diverse as fuck. He has tapped into the white college kid fanbase, Wale has tapped into that base at all.

He not catering to the girls who complain about not enough darkskin girls being in videos... The same ones that complained bout Wale's Pretty Girls video....

I wanna know what y'all consider a flop. It's like do you expect his songs to be the next Party Rock Anthem? That shit ain't happenin cuh, FOR ANYONE. A song is not a flop just because some stats say so. People fuck with Cole, I didn't even know about it until recently, stop being a bunch of negative ass motherfuckers for once man, let rappers do they thing.

WHO CARES ABOUT ALBUM SALES YOU DON'T PROFIT FROM IT! Stop talking about other people's money! Broke ass

Wale does get more support, but he don't got a bigger buzz tho...and J.cole miles ahead of that nigga on some music shyt, but that Dipset interview helps to explain alot, jay knows jcole is a serious contender and is actually a very talented individual, i was actually sleepin on the kid before, but he actually on something.

Can we stop calling WORK OUT a fucking flop now, shit has worked it's way up to number 77 on Billboard and 39 on Itunes. It's gonna make it's way over to pop radio if the urban radio play keeps picking up.

The only person I heard say that was ShadyTeam and she dont count.

I like the song because it has that G-Funk/Eric Sermon/D.J. Quik feel to it and its smooth enough for the chicks yet hard enough for us.

Its been at the top of the countdown on 106th and all over XM radio so its far from a flop in my opinion.

name a wale song without features that has mainstream appeal. He needed lady gaga for chillin he nees rick ross for anything currently. Cole has song after song without features. The problem with wale is he flows off beat for 45 minutes and only 10 minutes are on some fly shit. The rest of it is like cool story bro type flow. Even on beautiful bliss cole killed wale. Wale is a regional rapper but j cole because hes from the south and lived up north for college has a broader more diverse fanbase of real rap fans.

Y'all really don't know how big J. Cole is because most of you are not in college anymore. On Saturday night I had this conversation with maybe the whitest chick I have ever met and she was saying how he is her favorite rapper ever (Mostly cuz she has a crush on him though). Dude is popular as hell among the college crowd

excatly im a senior in college and hes got my market on lock....wale had a fad of popularity in the college market but now its regional and smaller. Cole is selling out big sized clubs everywhere whereas wale can't sustain himself without ross or mmg at any big club venue outside the south/dmv. Attention deficit did not have this much buzz as cole world.

I agree.. cause I see a lot of that crowd myself.. but you dont think people were popping off when some of these guys were in school?

A lot of those guys didn't do numbers like Cole bout too

but notice when he was at a music festival with mutiple rappers. Of course its gunna be sold out. J cole is doing solo shows of that size and larger...big cities small cities and selling them all out. He even is bout to go over seas for the second time this year and rap up the year there. im not denying wales popularity but cole is on a whole other level as far as fanbase, touring, reception, and buzz.
