heres the obvious difference between tyler perry and the aforementioned white guys. they dont have 100+ years of racist, stereotpical, and degrading images hanging over their heads. have you ever seen birth of a nation or at least some of the images from that movie? not only was that the most racist movie ever made but woodrow wilson p.ot.u.s. at the time had a screening of the movie at the white house and was quoted as saying "It's like writing history with lightning. It's not hate to say his films aren't good, which they aren't. TP isn't a coon, he's a limited writer/storyteller and a bad actor. The fact that he's found his niche doing certain types of movies isn't what bothers most people, it's the low quality of them. Even alot of people I know who were TP fans from before he blew up main stream and even through his initial success have stopped supporting his films because it's the same story being told over and over again. He's not that creative
