The thing with "he should just move to..." is aint no point in moving to somewhere you are miserable. Just cause one person likes it there dont mean he will. The South for instance aint got legal weed or none of that. Im moving from one of the most "popular" cities cause its time for me. Still in the South though at the time but I can understand why someone would prefer Cali. At the same time its ridiculous to complain about this while making 160k. Which I think is why they made the story as an attention getter in the first place.

You never know what you might like unless you try it.

Dude is crying white first world tears tho. Whatever skills dude has he can take anywhere and make money and live a much better life than he could in NorCal. SF Bay ain't the end-all-be-all for living and Twitter ain't the only company that's in need of his particular skill set. Do what's right for your family and put yourself in a spot where all that money you make translates into a better quality of life for your family.

This is what doesnt make sense. There are mad IT jobs in the phx area too. I stay getting job offers from jobs out there, anywhere between 90k to 130k a year. So why live in Silicon Valley if its that expensive when you can find the same jobs almost everywhere else?

I keep thinking about Arizona. Do you live there? What position Do you work and what certs/degree so you have?

@VulcanRaven

I dont live in Arizona. I live in NC. Im self taught, no certifications or degrees. Im working on my associates in science now. Ill be starting working my bachelors in computer science this September.

Do you work in IT?

Yes sir. 2 years now.

Yeah I'm living in the wrong state lol. Can't get nothing in MD without either.

It depends what you looking for. And what part of MD? I get offers from North Virginia all the time.

Its the Baltimore City/County area. Even entry level asking for a cert and Bachelor's degree. Haven't checked outside the state.

You applying directly or going to recruitment companies? And what skills do you have?

What are some good recruitment companies? I apply directly. Don't know any other way. I general skills working with Windows and troubleshooting and some network configuration skills but still don't have my CCNA and just got an AA degree. I am just looking at basic level entry work to get some experience but never get anything. Not even for computer operator jobs that just be asking for a high school diploma.
