In Maryvale you would be a king with that income @konceptjones @"Bender Rodriguez"

Bruh... ANYWHERE in metro PHX you sittin nice as fuck. You can rent a 3000sq/ft crib for $2000/month or less. I just hit Craigslist to see what's out there and there's a 4200sq/ft 6 bedroom 4.5 bathroom house in the White Tank Mountain foothills for $1995. Yeah that shit is soooper deep west valley but who gives a fuck when your house is big as fuck like that?
https://phoenix.craigslist.org/sear...inSqft=3000&availabilityMode=0&housing_type=6

I would enjoy living in the central phoenix 85015, 85013 area. Litchfield Park they got some big lots

LP is nice as hell but there's two sides to LP: there's LP proper, then there's all that unincorporated county next to it that uses LP's zipcode where you have big ass houses with big ass lots. We went to see a house out in the unincorporated area. Shit was $2000 a month for a custom 4500sq/ft house on just short of a half acre. They had rented it to a family that came to see it about an hour after we left. They jumped at that shit and wrote a check for the first month and the deposit immediately after seeing it.

That's not bad for a house. In MD/DC a condo or townhouse with less costs about that much or more. I seen a condo for $3,000 near Bethesda. Shit is way over priced.

This is what doesnt make sense. There are mad IT jobs in the phx area too. I stay getting job offers from jobs out there, anywhere between 90k to 130k a year. So why live in Silicon Valley if its that expensive when you can find the same jobs almost everywhere else?

I keep thinking about Arizona. Do you live there? What position Do you work and what certs/degree so you have?

Truth be told, SF is a shit city in my opinion. I hate everything about it and the bay area in general.

Care to elaborate? What are you basing your opinion on? Are you talking about gentrification? I just would like to hear your explanation.

So, let's break it down...

160K/yr breaks down to a gross paycheck of 6153.85 biweekly... He's married with two children so let's look at what his net is from every paycheck:
https://www.adp.com/tools-and-resou...l-calculators/salary-paycheck-calculator.aspx

Calculated at 04/25/2017 10:48:55

Gross Pay 6153.85

Federal 932.79

Fica 381.54

Medicare 89.23

State 425.96

SDI 55.38

Net Pay 4268.95

So... Dude comes home with approx 4268.95 give or take a few dollars.

Let's see how this works out:

His rent is $3000/month, so take half of that out of each of his checks and you're left with 2768.95 every other week.

Let's say his combined utilities (Gas, electric, water, sewage, trash, phone/internet) run him $1000/month. This means he's now at $2268.95 every other week.

Food... Well... Let's take the maximum benefit guidelines for SNAP for a family of 4 in Cali: $649, and tack on an extra $100 because cali pricing for some shit is retarded which means $374.50 every other week for 4 people to eat. Now you're at $1894.45 every other week.

Because he's working for Twitter he's likely got phones with an unlimited data plan for his family. $200/month or so. Now we're at $1794.45 every other week.

I'm assuming he's got two car notes as well. Let's say... $400/month for each ride? He's now at $1394.45 every other week.

Car insurance for San Fran for two cars might set him back about $300/month. Now he's down to $1244.45 every other week.

So... With all of his bills paid, food in the crib and everything... This dude claims to be "scraping by" with about $1244.45, cash in hand left over every two weeks.

FUCK... OUTTA... HERE...

Mind you, if he was smart and bought two used cars outright instead of paying a note he'd have an extra $400 every other week in hand but the point still stands: He ain't scraping by. All his bills are taken care of AND he's still sittin on more cash in hand to fuck off with than a lot of Americans gross every two weeks.

What are some good recruitment companies? I apply directly. Don't know any other way. I general skills working with Windows and troubleshooting and some network configuration skills but still don't have my CCNA and just got an AA degree. I am just looking at basic level entry work to get some experience but never get anything. Not even for computer operator jobs that just be asking for a high school diploma.

You should create a resume and write all your skills. Everything. The windows troubleshooting, network configuration, ans everything else you can think of. Im talking about legit everything. Put Java down too, but put beginner level next to it. If you know any SQL, put that. Any other language. Put microsoft word, etc. Basically make a skills table and put everything you can think of. Put your email and phone number on your resume, and the city/state you live in. Make sure your resume looks good. Once you do that, put your resume on Monster. You will get calls and emails for work that first week.

Also, look up QA, and SQA. Basically software testing. Look into getting a certification like the ASTQB, learn how to use HP ALM. You might find some schools that wont give you any type of cert but they will teach you the basics of QA. If you do that, put that on your resume, you will get offers daily in the MD/Baltimore/DC/VA area. Without a degree. Take my word for it. I see it all the time.
