Zimmerman was in a car, Treyvon on foot. Treyvon jogged away, Zimmerman got out of his car and cut him off through houses.

According to ZImmerman and the 911 call, he got out the car, tried to follow Treyvon, and lost sight of him within 15 seconds. Zimmerman then says Treyvon appoached him from behind. After this, according to Treyvon's girlfriend and Zimmerman, Treyvon asked Zimmerman why he was following him, followed by some heated conversation. At this point, Zimmerman says Treyvon attacked him.
