yeah, make sure you dont take into account any facts or details. good call.
The fact that Zimmerman followed Trayvon even though he was told not to. Then chased him down and shot him? The only thing that should be investigated is whether it's manslaughter or not. There should be no discussion of whether the shooting was justified.
The bolded is not illegal, and the underlined is conjecture.
I never said it was illegal to follow somebody, the facts are that Zimmerman followed him when he was told not to. Which could be used against him.
Can't be used against him if there was nothing legally wrong with it.
Besides, he was told "We don’t need you to do that."; so that doesn't even count as being told not to follow Treyvon.
Furthermore, according to the 911 recording, within 15 seconds of being told "We don’t need you to do that.", he was no longer following Treyvon.
@
bolded thats if you believe zimmermans account...
if you listen to the last 911 phone call zimmerman made you can hear at about the 1:45 him get out of his vehicle. the door chimes as the door is opened and then you hear a lot of wind in the background. about 15 seconds after that the dispatcher asks him if he is follow the teen. to which he says "yes" and the dispatch asks him not to do so. but the windy background noise continues for another 15 seconds.
it's quite evident that Zimmerman is a considerable distance from his vehicle. imagine how far you would be from your vehicle if you walked for 30 seconds.
i believe 1 minute after Zimmerman's call, the 2nd call comes in. there is just no way Zimmerman could've returned to his car (about 30 seconds away), the two of them meet up again somehow and get far enough into a shouting match for another call to come in to dispatch in a matter 0f 1 minute. also the woman says this activity is happen BEHIND her house. I'm not aware of any house or neighborhoods where the back of the house faces the road. Zimmerman was likely at least 25 yards away from his vehicle - maybe a lot farther. maybe i'm wrong but this contradicts zimmermans claim and his father's.
and really the totality of the evidence circumstantial or not hurts his claims of self defense...
It goes both ways, the claim that there was any kind of following of Treyvon to begin with is also based on Zimmerman's 911 call.
He was told "We don’t need you to do that." at 2:26, Zimmerman exclaims "He ran" at 2:38, and the "wind" sound dies down by 2:40; all of this takes place within 15 seconds.
Did Zimmerman say he was attacked at his vehicle? Source on this statement?
Zimmerman had claimed he had called police about Martin, whom he found suspicious, then went back to his car when Martin attacked him, punching him.
The new information is the most complete version yet of what Zimmerman claims happened on the night of Feb. 26 when he shot and killed the teenager.
got it from abc news link

Doesn't seem like that means he was at his car; but that he was going to it.
Other sites use word it differently:
Brother: George Zimmerman Was in Life or Death Struggle With Trayvon Martin
Zimmerman told police he had been following Martin but was walking back to his car when the teen approached him from behind, punched him in the face, got on top of him while he was on the ground and started bashing his head into the sidewalk.
Trayvon Martin family attorney: George Zimmerman is a vigilante
. And just to --l just to point out one other thing, is that according to Zimmerman's side, he was walking back to his car when he says he was confronted, in fact, by Trayvon...
Trayvon Martin Video Shows No Blood or Bruises on George Zimmerman
Zimmerman said he was heading back to his car when Martin attacked him.
ok but still his story doesn't hold up under scrutiny....first he confronted the teen, was punched in the nose and dropped to the ground. this week, he was no longer pursuing Trayvon and was followed back to his car...
also i know it was dark, but based on the physical layout somebody dropped couple pages back, it would have been nearly impossible for him to lose sight of trayvon is such a short amount of time
than zimmerman told dispatchers the person he spotted was coming toward him, and then, seconds later, he said the person was had turned around...why?
and if zimmerman is to be believed, trayvon pinned zimmerman down w/ his knees, slamming his head into the concrete walkway, how did trayvon end up lying face down with HIS feet on the sidewalk and his face in the grass? wouldn’t trayvon’s body have wound up with his face toward the sidewalk and his feet in the grass?... even if, after the gunshot, trayvon fell on top of Zimmerman and the larger man pushed him off, why didn’t the body land face up, beside zimmerman, rather than a 180 degree turn from the sidewalk and flipped over?
story isnt adding up
