wait, there are people on this forum actually questioning whether this guy murdered this child? what the fuck?? get the FUCK out of here with that bullshit. it certainly doesn't take someone of even moderate intelligence to see that this man:

- profiled the youth because he was black

- stalked the youth

- confronted the youth

- shot him dead

that's all that needs to be highlighted. he committed murder. it's corny to even entertain a discussion with some white boy or self-hating uncle tom that exhibits any apologetic sentiment on behalf of zimmerman.

co sign all the way

I hate when people say they dont care if trayvon was black..yet they cared a white/hispanic was the shooter..u know how many people get shot n killed everyday? Random good people that die over gang shit...media jus blew it up..just like how kony got its 15 mins of fame nobody cares about that shit anymore...

i just cant see how a black man...can even defend this..

if you say your for right or wrong...they way things are handled is wrong...

the way you follow another person and claim self defense when they turn to protect themselves is wrong

i dont see how this is even a debate? what if this was your uncle or father on the way to the store to buy your ass some candy...how would you feel? would you defend it then?

I watche on CNN today where a person wore a helmet cam and reenacted the beginning and end of the chase within the actual gated community in real time. Zimmerman put in a significant amount of effort to chase Trayvon down. How anybody can defend Zimmerman is beyond me. Facts are facts.....Zimmerman hunted that boy down. I initially thought he had got out the car and immediately tackled Trayvon but that wasnt the case. SMH at anybody trying to defend Zimmerman'ss actions, it's inexcuseable

Why do surveillance cameras still have such low quality

they usually don't. that video isn't from a bad source it's just bad compression. the quality isn't even that bad to me but people will nitpick just to be contrary.

either way they were taking him to the interrogation room which will have had a clear video on him so when he does get charged the lawyers and jury will get to see that this dude barely had a scratch on him.

also - even though this is the same link i posted before they changed the video and enhanced it somewhat:http://abcnews.go.com/WN/trayvon-ma...orge-zimmerman/story?id=16022897#.T3OoKTGPVYA

I think people are jumpin on Zimmerman to go to jail too soon before we know the details. And it's hard to get people to listen to you if you're makin uninformed decisions, or if you use a clear bias. For example

"How can he be defending himself if he followed Trayvon?"- A common and stupid question. Following someone isn't the same as starting a physical altercation. And we don't know yet who started throwin punches.

"They told him not to follow Trayvon and he did it anyway!" That's true, but irrelevant. I agree that was wrong of him, but if you want to see Zimmerman in jail you have to point out the ILLEGAL things he did. Stop focusing so hard on Coon, and the following of Trayvon. Attack his crimes not his character if you want him arrested.

We as a people need to do more about racial profiling than just saying to stop it. Stop committing crimes! Every time a black person is pulled over for being black, but weed is found in the car, the person profiling them feels justified. That person just made it harder on other black people. TI was on the BET special yesterday speaking on this issue. And I'm thinkin "TI, you've been a drug dealer! You've gotten arrested for guns and drugs! You're part of the reason people are racially profiling black people." Part of the reason Trayvon was viewed as suspicious was because of the young black people recently committing crimes in the neighborhood.

Sanford PD messed up b/c the questions I would have are:

- Was evidence collected of blood and skin from the concrete where Zimmerman "claims" that his head was banged on the concrete?

- How do you reach for the weapon that is concealed in the small of your back, take the safety off, aim and pull the trigger; all while somebody is hitting you with their knees on your arms to where you can't move? I know when adrenaline kicks in you'd be amazed what you can do in a life or death situation but you also take into account that he spent a considerable amount of energy chasing Trayvon down

Too soon? No he should've been arrested. And people kill me bringing up blacks being at fault. So I guess if I profile a guy of middle eastern descent, and follow him assuming he has a bomb, I can justify it by saying well, your people shouldn't have been bombing then. Besides blacks have been profiled and discriminated against forever. Have we always been a part of why others racially profiled us? And this case just highlights the dangers of profiling because if you do it you might end up killing an innocent person.

I guess you thought people were jumping to conclusion about Casey Anthony as well.her jurors ignored common sense and was thinking like you. Hopefully Zimmerman's jurors have some common sense.

forget about the video....the lead investigator requested an arrest warrant for homicide / negligent manslaughter against zimmerman....the very man who has collected and looked over all the evidence, witness statements and whatnot

but instead the chief of police and prosecutor instead decided to play judge and juror that night...

now consider the many ways the sanford pd botched the investigation

trayvon's girlfriend, who according to phones records spoke to him just a minute before his death, trayvon said he wasn't going to run and that he would just walk fast....which explains how zimmerman was able to catch up with him...

maybe he should've ran though

Yes too soon cuz we dunno what happened. There's a report that on the way back to Zimmerman's car Trayvon approached him, and threw the first blow. And that the voice screaming for help on the tape was Zimmerman. Might be true, might not. But it's a realistic possibilty. So it's POSSIBLE a guy saw someone he felt was suspicious and followed him. Then the guy was mad about being followed and beat up his follower. Then Zimmerman was being beaten and screamed for help. No one came. So he had a gun, and used it to defend himself (which is his right). That's an account of what happened....we don't know if it's true or not. But if it is, Zimmerman shouldn't go to jail.

I'm not sayin black people are at fault for the racial profiling. But I am saying some are at fault for re-enforcing it. If people think of black people as stupid know what can be done to change that? BE INTELLIGENT. Just like black coaches in the NFL. They used to think black men couldn't coach. Then black coaches came in and did well. Now they're getting more opportunities. They fought against and changed a false stereotype. Not just by saying refusing to hire black coaches is wrong. But by taking action and proving the stereotype wrong.

I agree that some black people reinforce stereotypes but I just feel that is taking away from this particular case. Just how people keep referring to the high black on black crime rate as if a black man has ever shot someone, police have him in custody and let him go the same night because of self defense. Race did play a factor in this case and with our country's history it is no surprise it has gotten so much attention.

I flagged you for believing the only nigga alive testimony when in fact that shit didn't make sense at all showing that he chased the dude. Fuck he going to walk up to Trayvon and ask what you doing her then go back to his car afterwards?

I think race was an issue too. It is what made Zimmerman suspicious of Trayvon in the first place. But do I understand Zimmerman's suspicion? Yes to an extent. If you had a series of break-ins and robberies in your neighborhood, and everyone was sayin it was some Mexicans they saw doin it. Then you would probably keep an eye open for Mexicans and be more suspicious of them. That's racial profiling. I think there's just too fine a line between not racially profiling someone, and being naive.

Sorta like in Crash (I know it's just a movie, but still), when Julia Roberts or whoever saw Ludacris and his friend comin towards em. She didn't wanna look like she was racially profiling them. But she was aware they seemed suspicious because of their appearance and where they were. Well she had to choose between racially profiling, or being naive and bein put at risk. I wouldn't have blamed her for takin the safer option.
