this is crazy cuz i was just thinking about this shit over the weekend.....this needs to be the #1 story in the country right now......zimmerman for the rest of his miserable life should be forever known and remembered as a racist bastard who killed an unarmed black kid......where ever he goes... whatever he does.. he needs to be reminded of that moment...

this should never be forgotten,.....dude made the mistake of the year.....God forgives, man doesn't.....his best bet is to make his peace with God.. cuz as long as he's alive on this planet his life is going to be a living hell....

This shit pisses me off. If I was in Florida I'd start rioting cause this really bothers me. Hope he gets the justice he deserves.

Also smh @ this "Another officer corrected a witness after she told him that she heard the teen cry for help. The officer told the witness, a long-time teacher, that it was Zimmerman who cried for help, the witness told ABC News."

Shit is sickening that this dude is still free, karma is a bitch he will get his. and he won't be free for long he gonna go to jail for a long time!!!!!

U.S. Department of Justice, FBI and FDLE to probe Trayvon Martin killing

Mounting pressure in Trayvon Martin case succeeds in prompting a federal probe.

The U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division and the FBI will investigate the killing of Miami Gardens teenager Trayvon Martin by a neighborhood watch volunteer, the department announced late Monday.

The announcement coincided with a statement from Florida Gov. Rick Scott asking the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to offer “appropriate resources” in the case.

The federal and state agencies are intervening in what attorneys call a botched investigation into the killing of the Michael Krop Senior High School student, who was killed Feb. 26 in Sanford, a town of 55,000 just north of Orlando. Trayvon, 17, on suspension from school, was staying at his father’s girlfriend’s house when he walked to a nearby a 7-Eleven store to buy candy and iced tea.

George Zimmerman, 28, a neighborhood watch volunteer with a long history of calling in everything from open garage doors to “suspicious characters,” called police to say he had spotted someone who looked drugged, was walking too slowly in the rain, and appeared to be looking at people’s houses. Zimmerman sounded alarmed because the stranger had his hand in his waistband and held something in his other hand.

The unarmed teen was carrying Skittles and a can of Arizona iced tea.

Zimmerman said he had stepped out of his truck to check the name of the street he was on when Trayvon attacked him from behind as he walked back to his truck, police said. He said he feared for his life and fired the semiautomatic handgun he was licensed to carry because he feared for his life.

“The department will conduct a thorough and independent review of all of the evidence and take appropriate action at the conclusion of the investigation,” the Justice Department said in a statement. “The department also is providing assistance to and cooperating with the state officials in their investigation into the incident. With all federal civil rights crimes, the government must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that a person acted intentionally and with the specific intent to do something which the law forbids — the highest level of intent in criminal law.

“Negligence, recklessness, mistakes and accidents are not prosecutable under the federal criminal civil rights laws.”

From the start, Trayvon’s family accused Sanford police of molding the investigation to fit Zimmerman’s account. Several witnesses said they heard cries that sounded like a boy wailing — howling silenced by the crack of gunfire — and were shocked to hear police later portray the cries as Zimmerman’s. One witness said police ignored her repeated phone calls.

The police chief was accused of telling lies big and small in ways that shielded Zimmerman. The family hired attorneys who helped devise a national campaign to demand a federal investigation.

Members of Congress and prominent black clergy members joined the chorus for a federal probe. At a rally outside the Sanford courthouse Monday, students called for Zimmerman’s arrest.

Police Chief Bill Lee told The Miami Herald that he was comfortable that his investigators were fair and thorough.

“I can say very confidently we would welcome any outside entity that wants to come look at what we did,” Lee said last week. “They are welcome to come here and look at it. We have not done anything but conduct a fair and complete investigation.”

He dismissed accusations of irregularities and insisted that investigators found no probable cause to arrest Zimmerman because there was no evidence to disprove his version of events.

The U.S. Community Relations Service will be in Sanford this week to meet with civil rights leaders, community leaders and local law enforcement officials to address tension in the community, the Justice Department announcement said.

ALL RIGHT FIRST OF ALL......

*First that kids mom admitted that the lil kid liked fried chicken as his favorite food. That question from the reporter, allegedly named Frances Robles who denies being there, was supposedly a follow up question to what the mother said. Whether it was or was not I don't know because the video is edited, BUT, his mother did admit it was his favorite food. Here is the link w/ more than the 30sec's yall was talking about and the twitter account...

*Second of all, I ain't signed that petition nor do I plan to. How long have we been protesting, marching, going through this same situation and in 2012, look.... still no change. I don't know what you ppl are thinking, but I doubt if it is going to be signing an internet petition to get that Zimmerman dude locked up.

*Third
,... The real reason I believe that Zimmerman dude isn't locked up is because he actually does have ppl in high places. And when I say ppl, I mean his father. Supposedly, his father is a well connected lawyer, rich too and I'll drop some info on him now. Now I don't want to set off a flurry, but I think this is the guy's father. Because in the start of this thing, the media has reported the shooter to be white and well guess what, not we know that ain't as seems. So I'm not 100% and I am just going off a rumor that makes sense that's why the cops ain't moving on him yet since his father is rich and famous. Now once again, I'm NOT 100% on this, but it makes sense that those cops are covering for him for his connects......

Robert Zimmerman, a native of Long Island, New York, has been helping victims through Florida and the United States seek justice for more than 20 years. He represents clients in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, motorcycle accidents, medical malpractice and nursing home neglect.

He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1989 and started the practice of law with the Judge Advocate General’s Office of the United States Navy. While serving, Lieutenant Zimmerman was awarded the prestigious Navy Achievement Medal which was presented by the Secretary of the United States Navy.

After successful completion of his military service, Robert worked for several prominent law firms, including Bobo, Ciotoli, Bocchino & Newman, P.A., in West Palm Beach, and Sams, Martin & Lister, P.A., in Miami. In 1998, he joined Robert B. Baker & Associates and formed the partnership of Baker & Zimmerman, P.A.

During his legal career, Mr. Zimmerman has achieved numerous multi-million dollar awards for his clients. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and The Florida Bar. He was also named as one of South Florida’s top 100 attorneys by Florida Trend Magazine.

And finally, the FBI and Justice Department are getting involved. I guess it was the media attention that got to them. I will try and find a link to support that too....

No change? really? Don't be that douche that discounts all the hard work that our people put in in this country for the past 400 years. Protesting, marching and generally being vocal has been more effective than any other tactic used thus far. If you have a better way then feel free to try it.

Well if you would've read this thread,.... you would've seen ppl going in on the reporters who questioned the mother about what Trayvon liked to eat. "Chicken" was what one of the reporters blurted out and ppl was responding to it in here. Didn't you see that motherf*ka??

And yeah keep protesting. I mean it has been years upon years upon more years and we still dealing w/ innocent kids getting gunned down for nothing w/ no arrests.....

i saw it. i commented on it. but it was a distraction.

and i don't actually protest - just because i don't like people or crowds or being out in daytime but i'm not going to disparage people that do. seriously - if you have a better idea we're all ears. but in the meantime you would be doing yourself a favor to realize that "years upon years" ago people marched and protested to make situations like this somewhat isolated incidents instead of the norm. but really... if you want to get all gung ho about it feel free to make it real for the whole sanford p.d. - i support you 100%.

and before you bother writing another sarcastic reply... just keep in mind that you could sign the petition instead and it would probably take less time and do more good.

The 'stand your ground law' shouldnt apply to zimmerman..because clearly he was the aggressor in all of this when in the 911 tapes the dispatcher told him NOT to follow martin....as of march 20th still no arrest have been made...smmfh.
