it's up to the court to decide whose conclusion holds more weight.
right now it just means there are 2 contradictory accounts regarding zimmermann screaming for help or not.
the key words in this case are corroborating evidence. the video, the funeral director, the 911 call, these forensic analyses, several witnesses etc
i'm pretty confident that zimmermann will be arrested before next weekend.
Paperwork detailing the EMS response to the shooting scene shows that a call for a second ambulance was canceled.
An audiotape containing the EMS communications, also obtained by The News on Friday, records unidentified workers discussing the scene.
Zimmerman’s condition is mentioned briefly in the 30-minute recording.
“Do we have a second patient?” a man asks.
“That’s affirmative. We have a second patient,” a woman replies. “The second patient is not a gunshot.”

The Orlando Sentinel consulted two voice experts to try to settle the debate, and both came to the same conclusion: The cries could not have come from George Zimmerman.
One expert, Tom Owen, used voice identification software to rule out Zimmerman as the source. From the Sentinel:
"I took all of the screams and put those together, and cut out everything else," Owen says.
The software compared that audio to Zimmerman's voice. It returned a 48 percent match. Owen said to reach a positive match with audio of this quality, he'd expect higher than 90 percent.
"As a result of that, you can say with reasonable scientific certainty that it's not Zimmerman," Owen says, stressing that he cannot confirm the voice as Trayvon's, because he didn't have a sample of the teen's voice to compare
Another analyst came to a similar conclusion using different technology.
The voice analysis is the latest piece of information to cast doubt on the narrative, advanced by Zimmerman and his family, that the Neighborhood Watch volunteer was attacked by 17-year-old Travyon Martin. A police video this week showed no blood or bruises on Zimmerman in the aftermath of the incident, while Martin's funeral director said he saw no signs of a struggle on the teen's body
The video shows abrasions, the funeral director assumes one can't fight without bruising their fists, the 911 call establishes that ZImmerman saw and followed someone he considered "suspicious", and there have been no witness accounts that contradict Zimmerman's claims.-Vincenzo-;4235068 said:fiat_money;4234122 said:They can't confirm that the voice was Treyvon's either, so their conclusion holds less weight than the eyewitness who says he saw Zimmerman screaming to him for help.MR.CJ;4234091 said:It was not George Zimmerman who called for help.

The witnesses I'm referring to are:
I) The two women
II) The 13 year-old
III) "John"
IV) The witness who was in his vehicle
Witnesses have said that they heard shouting (I, II, III, and IV), saw people fighting on the ground (II, III, and IV), heard a gunshot (I, III, and IV), and saw Zimmerman standing over Treyvon immediately after shooting him (I, and IV to an extent).
That leaves this forensic voice analysis; which by its own account is incomplete, since it cannot confirm whether the voice was Treyvon's. Additionally, Zimmerman has not claimed that Treyvon never screamed at any point. So, even if this analysis were able to conclude that the voice was Treyvon's; that does not disprove Zimmerman's or the "John" the witness's claims that Zimmerman was screaming for "help" while being attacked by Treyvon. The audio as been removed from the NY Daily News page. trayvon's girlfriend contradicted zimmermann's claim, not sure why you left her out. the funeral director didnt just say no bruises no fight, he said there were no traces of a fight at all. the man who has worked in this job for several decades could probably confirm these claims in court. we have experts in the field of voice identification saying it is definitely not zimmermann's voice that is screaming for help. and from what we have seen in the video and heard about the ems, all these things clearly contradict his version.
you are right all these things are no direct evidence that zimmermann was the agressor, they only show that zimmermann lied in various points from screaming for help plus most probably the severeness of the alleged attack. based on all these things, one could plausibly say his life was not in immediate danger, even though it cannot be outruled that trayvon attacked him. this would be enough to arrest him and charge him with manslaughter which will probably happen soon.
in the course of the investigation these audio experts could very probably come to the conclusion that the person that screamed for help was trayvon, based on the fact that there were only 2 persons involved in the scuffle and if it wasnt trayvon plus none of the witnesses stated it was one of them, it only leaves one person that could have sceamed for help:
the killed victim.
at this point there is already enough corroborating evidence that contradicts zimmermann's account of being in a life-threating situation, insofar the audio forensic result saying trayvon screamed for help wouldn't change the charge itself, they would only move the sentence to the upper end of the range opposed to the version in which zimmermann just overreacted when killed trayvon in an act of manslaughter.
and there is still the alleged "fucking coon"-comment, which if true could lead to a hate crime charge for which, if found guilty, zimmermann could face the death penalty.

It's not impossible to fight someone with no physical signs afterward, especially if one was winning the fight. Witnesses (II, III, and IV) already confirm that there was a fight of some sort; plus the police, SFD, and video confirm that there were some form of injury to Zimmerman. So, the mortician's remarks--while interesting--don't disprove anything here.
Until they can confirm whether or not the voice was Treyvon's their results are incomplete. Once complete, their results will only prove that Treyvon screamed at some point. It has not been claimed that Treyvon never screamed, so these results wouldn't disprove anything here either.
And Zimmerman only had to "feel" that his life was threatened, that's what makes his claim so hard to dispute.
GZus;4234613 said:bow to royalty;4234528 said:You gotta tell that rule to the millions of people who buy guns for self-defense. Let me explain something that a lot of people seem to be missing. This is a murder trial. The prosecution has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant is guilty. You are giving ZERO proof that Zimmerman initiated the conflict with Trayvon (that Trayvon didn't actually walk up on him). This is a court of law, not the court of public opinion.
The fuck are you talking about? There is no trial as Zimmerman has yet to be arrested and brought up on charges, hence his not being a defendant. The only court he's getting tried in at the moment IS the court of public opinion.
You must not understand that the "self defense" law is an affirmative defense in court. This means that the burden of proof lies on Zimmerman to prove that it was in fact self defense. The prosecution's duty is to prove that it wasn't self defense.
And Zimmerman DID initiate the conflict by following an individual when advised not to by 911 operators. I can't stress that point enough.
You're dense as fuck in the way you're taking Zimmerman's word for it. You need to utilize some objectivity and wait for all the facts to rise to the surface.

you reachin fiat, if there was no actual threat to his life this case is done. this whole you only have to "feel" your life was threatened means someone might point an empty gun at you, in that case that feeling is justified. but you actin like someone could walk the street, shoot someone on the other side and say "dude was lookin at me from the corner of his right eye like he wanted to kill me ASAP"
