the highlights of this movie were sentinel prime's betrayal and prime kickin ass although he was always late as fuck lol
quick question so was cybertron destroyed then after the bridge collapsed
gulliest line "We will kill them All"

Not as good as the first ,slightly better than the 2nd, mainly because of the editing.
as always designed to appeal to our lowest aspects of intellect and common sense
action was off the chain tho......if you could follow it

It's a movie that's about big robots blowing shit up based on a cartoon that was made to appeal to kids. It's not going to have some incredibly deep storyline and if you went there expecting that, you're not very bright. How you gonna give a movie a low rating for not delivering on smething it was never meant to give you in the first place.

people feel that because we except the suspension of disbelief , we should except deus ex machina
Two complete differently concepts that are not one in the same. Yes, we can expect that a man can fly, and alien robots from space can talk.
Long as this has been established with reasons and why. But to ask your audience to expect inextricable problems suddenly and abruptly solved with no explanation what soever, characters for no reason given acting out against their established behavior pattern , goes against the basic elements of storytelling. Whether it was meant to appeal to children or adults.
So it really is a cop out to say ,”well you believe a robot from space can talk, why can’t believe that a lil white chick can call a tyrannical egomaniac a “Bitch”, and still live to tell about it.?” “You believe a robot can “transform”, why can’t you believe Bumblebee can go from being free & driving around in one scene than, suddenly he’s held prisoner in the next? “
So no it's not about looking for Godfather level of acting or directing but a cohesive story plot and a sense of continuity is not to much to ask in a movie regardless of what the premise of the movie is.
darkone360;2940875 said:whoa dawg. you thinkin to hard on this. it's just transformers. if it was "inception", then drop the complex explanation. but its transformers. i understand what monk was sayin. not every movie is a oscar movie. we all know what to expect from bay. so why act surprised? we know how his movies are. hate the movie all you want, but you still PAID to go see ot. and i'm pretty sure bay is laughing his azzz off all the way to the bank.

a lil wordy.....but hardly over thinking.
That’s quite correct tho ….people PAY to see these movies.
Which gives them even more of the right to voice praise or criticism of them . Regardless of what the movie is about.
But basically all I’m saying is from a story telling point of view I just can’t over-look random acts and behavior that contradict what was previously established in the very same movie or continuity.
As another poster also pointed out, Bumblebee is saving Sam and the NEST team in one scene , yet in the very next scene he has his hands in the air being held prisoner by Decpticons, that’s just bad editing and shit story telling.
“But hey it’s what I expected what more do you want?”
So if suddenly Ironhide were to had popped up in the end and start fighting in the final big battle with no explanation , you all would not question have this?
Because “Hey it’s a Transformer movie!”
“It’s making a gazillion dollar$!”
