Shockwave was the most menacing Decepticon in the whole movie. It's ridiculous to act like he was done a disservice. Ya'll keep on saying he died from a parachute. He didn't. Optimus killed him. All the parachute did was provide a distraction while all the humans opened up on him. In other words, it took a concerted effort from the whole human cast plus a finish by Optimus. Starscream got straight manhandled and Megatron got OHKOed after being useless through the whole movie. Both of those are much worse losses than Shockwave took.

true... I just wanted to see shockwave body a few autobots & friends THEN get bodied himself lol

Transformers 3 Keeps Raking It In

By now, it's past $400m worldwide

05 July 2011 | Source: The Hollywood Reporter

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon is the biggest Fourth-Of-July weekend opener of all time. Its US haul was set to be $181.1m by the end of Monday, with $116.4m of that over the three-day weekend, beating previous record-holder Spider-Man 2 and its $115.8m (although that film did not benefit from a 3D premium).

Worldwide, Bay's film had taken $217m by Sunday, 55% more than its predecessor Revenge Of The Fallen. That's the third-best global debut of all time apparently, making up for this instalment's slight underperformance initially in the US, relevant to its predecessor. 60% of US takings and 70% of worldwide takings were from 3D cinemas, however, which explains a little of that gap.

It also managed the biggest opening ever in seven countries: Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and Peru. The countdown until the fourth film is announced starts here...

When they revealed they were going to bring Cybertron to Earth, it reminded me of an old episode of Transformers when they actually tried that.

http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/The_Ultimate_Doom,_Part_1

Then I thought, damn, what about the gravity involved....bringing another planet that close to Earth would tear the two planets apart, but it's just a movie.

But what gets me is that they've killed every conceivable Decepticon leader in these movies with no other Decepticon built up to take over.
Megatron
Starscream
Shockwave
Soundwave
The Fallen
Sentinel Prime

Who's left to fight?

I liked they showed human death in the movie and the CGI was top notch. And I do wish they did more with Shockwave.

Unicron or the quintessons, maybe megatron will return as galvatron but with out his sidekick starscream it wont be fun

galvatron had cyclonus and the sweep. but i was thinkin about that well. if they continued on wit the franchise, it makes sense to bring galvatron

but the Autobots gotta take an L in one of these flicks. It's just going to be too predictable to have Optimus kill EVERY threat in EVERY movie.

i guess the only twist in this series was having Megatron survive, along with Starscream, through the first two movies. And the way Megatron was gutted and beheaded in the third installment makes it hard to come back from.

the only way now to continue on is to have a rip in time because of the space bridge being closed the way it did and have Galvatron and his army emerge from the future. Then they could introduce Unicron in a fifth or sixth film. I really don't see why Unicron would want to devour Earth, unless they ignore his true backstory; which in this series of movies, they have with just about everyone.

SIDE QUESTION
a yo Dark, who's the shorty in your avi?

I thought it was just a trilogy and a new crew was going to make the next installment?

People wondering where they can go for Part 4. There are plenty of characters in the Transformers universe. Again they can introduce Unicron, The Dinobots and resurrect Megatron as Galvatron. It's already gross 500 Million Worldwide in the 1st week, there is no way it's over. Michael Bay is probably going to take a break from the franchise but I think he remains a producer on future films. I don't see a reboot happening. I see a direct sequel but we will see.
