Wow, 17 Trailers, I'm sorry but I can't watch them. I don't want to spoil the movie. Well guys, looks like we now know why Megan Fox was truly fired. First it was she left on her own and then it was Bay got rid of her cause she was too skinny. Now it seems the GOAT himself, Steven Spielberg did not like her "Hitler" talk, I mean hey this is the guy that made "Schindler's List":

Speilberg, Not Bay, Fired Megan Fox

Australia's News.com is reporting that Transformers franchise Executive Producer Steven Spielberg is the one that fired Megan Fox, not director Michael Bay. The reason why was because her comment back in September 2009 in Wonderland Magazine that Bay "wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is." Below is a major portion of article. The comparison angered Spielberg, who is executive producer of the Transformers series and deadly serious when it comes to Nazis. Bay revealed for the first time he was told to get rid of Fox.

"You know the Hitler thing. Steven (Spielberg) said, fire her right now," he said ahead of the premiere of Transformers 3. The comment drew the ire of the film's crew, who compared her acting to that of a porn star. Bay said he wasn't hurt by the Hitler comment. However, Spielberg is known to be sensitive when it comes to Nazis. After his experience directing Schindler's List, he founded the Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, which furthers the remembrance of the Holocaust of World War II.

I still am not convinced this is the final straw mostly because the time line makes zero sense. Megan's Hitler comment was published September 5th, 2009, open letter response from the crew followed a week later on September 12th, 2009. Nothing really happens (besides the DVD release in November) until May 4th when Megan Fox is spotted on the Playa Vista location for Transformers 3 with a makeup test shot appearing online a week later. Then on May 19th, 2010 the news breaks she was fired and will be replaced just two weeks before production starts. Despite what is being said by Bay or others it doesn't make much sense to me that there was a 9 month delay in the publishing of her Hitler comment and the consequences of that comment. More happened. I think that "more" occurred in that two week period when she started showing up for production prep and the day she got fired. Rumors of that include her weight (too thin) but who really know at this point.

Keep in mind something as major as replacing the lead actress on a $200 million dollar summer tent pole film on the eve of the beginning of principle photography is a major decision. It not one that Michael Bay could have made alone. A unified front from Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg would have been sufficient to make it happen but the signing off would still have to go up the Paramount and DreamWorks executive ladder for approval. It wouldn't even surprise me if Hasbro's leadership was tapped for input. Whatever happened was significant enough to make the change and I don't think a 9 month old Hitler comment was the main reason. It was probably one of many factors but there is still that "final straw" that no one is talking about.

Damn, but I also think it was bigger than the "Hitler" comment. I've heard she was a nightmare to work with on sets. Oh well, we will see how the new chick does:

Aiight this is the week folks. 1st Showings are at 9PM on Tuesday Night. I ask everyone who sees to the movie if you post a review in this thread, please don't spoil it for people. If you are going to mention a spoiler, please let people know before you post it. I will give my review once I see it. OK, Michael Bay had released a message for all the fans thanking them for everything:

Thank You

I just want to take the opportunity to thank all the fans around the world for letting me have fun with the Transformers franchise. It has been a wonderful opportunity to have worked with about 4000 crew members around the world. These artists are some of the very best in the entire film business. I’m honored to have had you work along side me. We had an amazing time.

‘Dark of the Moon’ has some of the most technically challenging sequences ever shot. And shot in 3D. I must urge you to find the very best theatre and see this movie in that format. 3D was a forethought, not an afterthought in this movie. I’m glad Jim Cameron and Steven Spielberg really convinced me to shoot in this new technology. We used and invented many new techniques to make the 3D sharper, brighter and more color contrast. I think theatre owners heard their audience that they need to respect the specs of the projectors and not dim the bulbs to save money.

Many theaters are presenting it in the brand new 7.1 sound, which is awesome. This is the most complex, intricate sound track that me and my Academy Awarding winning sound team have done. They really out did themselves to make this a big picture experience. Hopefully you will have as much fun watching this movie as we all had making it.

Thanks,

Michael Bay

"Its last hour is the full-on human vs. robot war film that the Terminator series has always promised but never delivered. Transformers: Dark of the Moon may not be a great film, but it is largely great fun." - http://movies.ign.com/articles/117/1178885p1.html

Ive only been seeing above average reviews for this... I think Bay might have outdone himself with this... I'll find out Thursday with my girl

yeah I saw the ship in the background as well, if you listen to the dialogue, it appears Prime is pissed off at the humans for hiding something from him. And then it appears that since they are hiding information from him that could be critical to the Autobots defending the planet, Prime gets offended and tells the humans, that since you "act" like you don't need us, you're on your own and if something happens, we won't help you.

Plus, I saw the Space Bridge as well. So I think we may see some scenes of how the Transformers travel between Cybertron and Earth.

I'm thinking they hid whatever it was they found on the moon. They found it in the 60's, but never told the Autobots.

Good look out on the movie though I rather go see Transformers before I waste any money on Green Lantern. Part 3 looks better than the last one.
