hey Ive seen the first one, never seen the second one, but I have it recorded on dvr. Is it necessary for me to watch the second one to understand whats going on in the 3rd, because everyone is telling me the second movie is garbage

I just got back about 40 minutes ago and the movie was dope! The best one out of the series by far! I was blown away. Specially the the battle in D.C. and Chicago was EPIC! Sential Prime heel turn was unexpected, I didn't see that shit coming and it was great. And Megan Fox replacement is SEXY as fuck!!! I think that Jason Statham's girl? He a lucky ass muthafucker!

yea thats his girl

movie was sick i already want to see it again. first action movie to ever top Aliens if you ask me which makes it the new GOAT Sci-Fi action flick, hands down. this is what we always wanted to see out of the Terminator franchise but never happened.

the way Megatron was portrayed was the illest, the design for him as the Mack truck and wearing the cape and shit hiding out in Africa and shit, his first transformation scene from the Mack truck is the best transformation scene in the series. also Shockwave was fuckin sick.. i could rave about this movie non-stop so i'm not even going to try

Slow down there b,it was a solid movie, but no where near the best sci fi movie.

The dialogue was blown out to unfunny two & a half men status imo, action was nice though short for a near 3 hour flick. Only real gripe with the film for me was the crappy 3D effects and how we barely saw any shockwave action

That's my problem with the whole series, though Revenge of the Fallen was darker. The pacing was slow and they over did the comedy which makes the movie uneven and breaks the atmosphere. How you go from corny jokes and over the top acting to oh shit the world is in danger again and people getting annihilated by Decepticons. It was like two different movies with no balance and I was sleepy the first hour of the movie.I thought Revenge of the Fallen was more consistent and had better pacing. They dragged on the battle at the end and though I enjoyed it I still think Avatar had the best ending battle in a movie in years.

Now I'm one of the people that didn't hate "Fallen" but it had way more flaws than "Moon". LOL @ "Revenge of the Fallen" was darker. How? This is by far the most VIOLENT Transformer Film. Bodies gettin blown up you see nothing but the skulls falling down. Transformers and Autobots getting killed off left and right. Cities getting fucked up, "Fallen" looks PG in comparison to "Moon". "Fallen" pacing was horrible which is why people hated it. Also "Fallen" had more lame jokes and weak humor. Like I said in my review, yes the 1st hour kinda dragged but it was necessary to set up the story and the amazing last hour. This one the jokes are limited, the story is better and the action is the best of the series. I wouldn't say it's the better than "Aliens" but it's by far one of the best Sci-Fi Action films ever so it's up there with "Aliens" easily. I say it's Top 5 overall. Also to the poster that said, "This was a happy ending". What film were you watching?, people were getting bodied left and right. Autobots got their asses kicked damn near the whole movie. Sential Prime beasted most of the movie. I agree Shockwave could of went out better but he still went hard to me, he was the hardest decepticon with that centipede ish.

will there be a part 4

Right now Bay and Shia said they are done with it. But I think they just need a break, remember the 1st film dropped in 2007, 2nd in 2009 and this one in 2011. That means from 2006-2011 they been doing nothing but Transformers films. I think the whole team and crew are just tired. But this series is far from dead, after this one there is so much more to be explored in the Transformers universe. Unicorn and Dinobots for example, there are so many characters in the Transformers universe. Rumors are Part 4 is dropping in 3 years in Summer 2014 and that if Bay doesn't want to direct, Steven Spielburg or get this George Lucas will Direct. Steven is the Executive Producer and George's company ILM did all the effects for the film. So we will see, but this damn sure isn't the last one, this franchise is a Gold mind.

I can't wait to see the box office numbers for this joint. Shit is gonna be crazy!

Right now the Box Office for the 1st day was 37.3 Million with Previews from the limited shows on Tuesday it's total is 42.8 Million making it the biggest opening of the 2011. They are already saying it's the best 3D performance since "Avatar" as 60% of people have watched it in 3D. "Fallen" made 62 Million Opening Day so it's down from part 2 but ticket prices are more now and people aren't going to the movies as much as they use to. Worldwide opening day is 90 Million. So it grossed damn near 100 Million on it's opening day around the world. It's about to kill the 4th of July weekend. Nobody is going to be eating this weekend but Transformers and maybe Cars 2 cause it's for families.

I wouldn't be surprised if they take the Batman route and do some prequel shit on cybertron next.

"TRANSFORMERS: BEGINS"

LOL, yea that would be dope. I actually think a Prequel would be better than a direct sequel. Have them be on cybertron and the ending would be the war that destroys the planet. I loved the cyberton scenes in "Dark of the Moon", I think they need to build on the story. I don't care if the film 100% robots, I don't think fans would care if there are no humans. But something is telling me it will probably be a Sequel. Like I said, Introduce Unicorn, Galvatron and the Dinobots and fans will go wild. This franchise has so much sequel material it's wild.

Far as i'm concerned, Fallen don't even exist. Just like X3, Wolverine, and Blade Trinity.

Moon was like 2 movies in one - the set up for the first hour and a half, then the war for Chi-town, which shitted all over Matrix for action sequence.

I'd agree that this is the best pure sci-fi action since the "Matrix", even "Avatar" forest war isn't seeing the battle of Chi-town. People are sleeping and not understanding that Michael Bay just up the bar on sci-fi action with this film. It's strange cause the 1st two films had good action but nothing that changed the game. Some of the shots in this film had me going, "How in the hell did he shoot that". The Building scene was blew me away.
