Of course not. And obviously not every situation is one that is very obviously a bad one to be in. But if someone does put themself in a clearly risky situation and rape happens, they hold the responsibility of putting themselves in that situation. Whether or not stupidity or ignorance or whatever led them there is another story - and i think the key ingredient. If you behave carelessly and end up getting raped you hold the blame for behaving that way. Not the blame for someone raping you, just for making yourself more vulnerable to it by behaving carelessly.

Carelessness is carelessness and if someone acts stupidly or shows no regard for potential threats then they hold the blame for that kind of thinking.

Y'all ladies NEED to be up on y'all defense and prevention. It's vicious out here, but that's just how the world is for everybody. Some more than others. And if you know you're more likely to encounter bullshit, then some of that blame does fall on you. All a predator needs is an opportunity. It's bad enough the ignorant can get exploited, but to be reckless on your own volition is worst. That's how lessons get learned the hard way.

Rapist have no business doing what they do, but women don't need to give them an opportunity. No different than locking your doors when you leave home. Using your signals when making a turn. Law does not support rape. But society is composed of more than just institutions of justice.

Pornography is often catered to those who get aroused from domination type scenarios. Much of it can appear rape like.

Some people makes jokes about rape - which could be considered making light of the issue.

Essentially what we see here is that a lot of media has a tendency to influence ideas of rape. If that is enough to say we live in a rape society , well I think we need more people.
