The reason some people don't like New Day is basically the same reason I stated in the Cena thread why people don't give him any credit. Despite the fact that they are entertaining and deserve credit, some people are still not going to like them due to the lack of overall variety when it comes to the WWE and black talent.
As already stated earlier, most of the time black talent is placed with a limited range of characters which usually involves some form of stereotype. There wouldn’t be any real room for complaining about “stereotypical” black gimmicks if we had a wider range of diverse characters for black talent. Making comparisons to New Day and other white wrestler’s comedy gimmicks isn’t exactly accurate seeing as how white people in WWE aren’t just given their gimmicks from a small selection of stereotypes.
Some of you saying just be happy we have black talent in RAW’s main event are kind of missing the point others are trying to make, IMO. That’s almost like saying we should celebrate every black Oscar winner regardless of what type of role they play despite the fact that a lot of black actors since Hattie McDaniel to Lupita Nyong'o have won their awards living out black stereotypes on screen. Black success and “Black Excellent” is not always the same and shouldn’t be grouped together by default, IMO.
I’m happy to see them dudes doing well for themselves, but at the same time I’m sure they already knew that they had a limitation of how they could represent themselves based on the history of the company. I’m also not going to call them coons either when they have no real say so and have pretty much just made lemonade out of the lemons they were given by the old white men in the back.

Creative didn't give them anything other than the original preaching gimmick which they've never even acknowledged on air outside of their entrance video.
Clapping. They've stated they came up with that on their own.
