shieky;3462823 said:All I know is that we average 4 drops a game. There are at least 3 plays a game when a free rusher is instantly on top of Vick. He makes the impossible happen at least twice a game.
Its all for nought though. Shitty ass defense is going to make me pop a blood vessle.
Vick could be a top 20 rusher, have around a 70 completion percentage and be in the top 5 in passing yards right now if he didn't have to throw the ball away so often, or if his receivers would catch the ball with more consistency. I know every QB has to deal with it, but not at the rate Vick does.
Shit I wasn't a fan of the rumored trade with Seattle for Aaron Curry, but I'm desperate for some kinda spark over here. Inability to run in the redzone + shitty defense overall = enough losses to be demoted to college football.
bow to royalty;3462702 said:One thing to be said about the Eagles 49ers game. People have been sayin the team loses late in games because Vick goes out, and the team falls apart. WELL, they were up 20-3 at half and only scored 3 points for the rest of the game, to lose 23-24. Vick was there the whole time. SMH at Lebron being disgusted at how the Eagles finish games.
The Lonious Monk;3462997 said:So it's Vick's fault that the last two trips to the redzone were stalled out by a false start and holding penalty respectively? It's Vick's fault that the kicker missed two ~30 yd field goals? It's Vick's fault that Maclin fumbled ball one what could very likely have been a scoring drive?
You dudes are silly. Vick did everything you can expect from an elite QB to win that game. Hell he did more than what you can expect from an elite QB because Brady, Brees, and Rogers can go for 417 yds on 30 of 46 passing, but none of those dudes can throw 75 yds rushing on top of that. Plain and simple, Vick was the offense yesterday. He was the one that was keeping plays alive even when defenders were running through the line like it wasn't there. He was the one running for 1st downs when none of his receivers were getting open. He was the one throwing perfect passes for big gains. I don't care where you put the blame, but no one within reason can put that shit on Vick. He played damn near a perfect game. The one mistake credited to him was the INT and it wasn't his fault. It goes on his stats, but if you throw a pass that hits the receiver right in the hands and the receiver bats it to the defender, whose fault is that?
bow to royalty;3462049 said:Vick had a good game today. Let's remember it was against the 49ers, but 400 yards is good against anyone. Good completion % too.
I put this loss on the defense, the kicker, and the coaching staff. Take away Vick's carries, and the Eagles had 46 passes and 12 carries. Winning 20-3 at half, and won't run the ball.
bow to royalty;3462968 said:What moves would you like to see the Eagles make on defense?
And near 70% completion? He'd b showin up Brady, Rodgers, Brees, and damn near every QB ever?
bow to royalty;3463009 said:slow downnnn, I didn't blame Vick for the loss. I even said Vick had a good game. The point I'm making is it's looking like the Eagles are not a 2nd half team. Before it seemed like they fell apart late because Vick went down. Now that Vick stayed in, and the same thing happened, that's not looking like the case. I said the EAGLES finish badly, not that Vick let the team down.
The Lonious Monk;3463715 said:Oh ok, I misunderstood you. I agree with you. The Offense didn't really even fall apart when Vick left in the ATL game. Kafka was one Maclin drop away from leading them to victory. The Defense is the common factor in all three games. They let the opposing team run all over them. There is so much wrong with that team though.
The O Line is not as bad as people make them out to be, but they definitely are out of sync.
The play calling flat out sucks sometimes.
Receivers continually drop passes. What's worse is that a lot of those passes are crucial 1st downs, potential TDs, or a batted to the defender for INTs.
The D isn't playing well on any level.
And if yesterday is any indication, their kicking game is questionable.
Really, the only things you can knock Vick for is is taking too many unnecessary hits at times and not reading blitzes very well. However, if you watched the games, those have a real minimal effect on the losses. His injuries have come in the pocket delivering the ball, so you can't blame his recklessness for them. He's been beating most of the blitzes thrown at him with his legs lately, so that weakness of his really isn't costing them much.
bow to royalty;3464152 said:I'm glad u said that about the line, cuz a lotta people talk like the O-line is WOAT. They need to improve, but it's not the worst line in the league or anything. Coaching does seem like it's the issue. Their talent at DE and in the secondary is there, but people still move and score on them. They're also really talented at skill positions. How many teams got better talent than Jackson, Maclin, and McCoy? But all they have is a 3 4th quarter points this season. So ur right, the play calling may b the issue. May be time for Reid to go.
I think that fucked up wide 9 is hurting them. Gettin rid of that shit may help stop the run.
p-tavern;3727736 said:Andy Reid is purposely sabotaging Mike Vick's season through play calling that he knows will only backfire. He's been planning to resign at the end of this year anyway and be bumped up into the executive ranks (which has been guaranteed to him by the owners for carrying out this plan for them [mark my words, his new position will be announced come springtime]) and is using this season to take down one of the few black men who somehow bounced back after they made an attempt to ruin him. Mike Vick, the poster boy for making amends, must now be made the example of "why you shouldn't give them a second chance."

Here's more proof that you are biased against Vick, and will never extend the fairness you extend crakkka qb's:

One qb gets sacked 4 times, in which his head gets taken off/bones get broken, each time
Vs.
Other qb gets sacked 13 times feat. regular take-downs or rough tackles that don't leave him disabled
=
Only an extreme, retard, would pretend which qb is going to be "very very different in A (-) apprehensive way" along the lines I been explained and TBradshaw validated today.
