Well the Olympics are in August 2016 from the 5th-21st. I just did a quick search and tickets are still in the normal range from $650-800 leaving from where I'm at.

So there's not a real spike yet in ticket prices as far as airfare goes.

Lodging I haven't looked at yet.

Airbnb is probably the best bet if all the hostels and hotels are booked.

$1200 is the max I would budget for another trip to Rio.

I only spent $700 for my trip last weekend including airfare. (Copa airlines had a sale and I got my ticket for only $391 for a 4 day round trip vacation). Praise God.

Well I don't want to derail the thread but I'll leave my response here:

Have you heard of context or nah @Rasta.?

All you have is a CON if you just take a text like you did without having the proper context to explain it.

The immediate context of Isaiah 13 is the judgment of Babylon by the Medes and Persians. Verses 17 and 18 tell us just that, while also reiterating the brutality that the Medes will exact upon the Babylonians at the time of their destruction.

So of course when you don't know Yeshua as your personal Lord and Savior, you will take passages out of CONtext in order to justify your faulty position which is built upon the quicksand of lies and deceit because your eyes are blinded from the truth. Amen.

But God is still stretching out His hand to you and pleading that you will be reconciled back to Him today! All the day long He offers you a chance to get back right with Him by confessing your lost condition and asking the Lord Yeshua to be your Savior. Will you humble yourself today?
