Thats dope! Athens was cool. I stayed in an Airbnb right near the Acropolis. It was central to everything. I was with my daughter as well and even she was able to walk to all the spots we went.

You want to hit up Syntagma Square. That seems to be the central meeting point and where people hang out and people watch. There's also an outdoor mall that is super packed all the time right next to it. It also has a McDonald's there. It was the only one I seen while I was in Athens.

Hit up the Acropolis and the Plaka part of it for shopping and people watching.

As for night life, I don't know. But i'm sure you'll be able to find some spots that are jumping.
