About the Absinthe, u can find some everywhere. But the real deal with the trippy shit I've only seen it in Prague and Amsterdam.

I didn't do alotta party in Rome, more sightseeing and etc. Trastevere was a spot with nightclubs and shit.

Amsterdam, Berlin, Barcelona and Prague are great to party though.

Absinthe with the wood chips in it I had that in Prague

Tobago is very beautiful. Some of the prettiest water I have ever seen. You can't go wrong with the Cayman Islands either.

I will be in Costa Rica Dec 2 - 8 so I can let you know how that is when I return but I'm sure u want to book your Christmas trip before then.

Question: When you book a hotel, do you base your decision off the ranking on Trip Advisor? What basis do you use?

Things I'm definitely doing include: Ski Dubai, Desert Safari, Sand Buggying, Visiting the Souk and Mosque, Burg Khalifa, Dubai Fountains, Dinner On A Yacht, Abu Dhabi for a day. That's it so far. Any suggestions?

No religious material on the temple mount. It's a highly volatile area. Muslims snap in an instant if they see religious texts, other than the Koran, on "their" temple mount.

It all depends on what type scenery you want. Pick a hotel and do a google street view of the area. Some hotels that are in the industrial area look nice from the pics but there in the middle of nothing. Every hotel has info on tours and excursions.

upscale beach type - Jumeriah

Mosque, Musuem, Gold Souk/tourist area - Al Rigga/Deira

downtown area - Bur Dubai

Party Scene (clubs inside the hotel) - Bur Juman

Mall of Emirates- Al Bashra

Make sure you bring a small book bag and light jacket or cardigan for the Desert Safari. It gets cool in the evening out in the desert. Keep all your personal items with you at all times.

I did the water bus tour on the Corneche and the big bus tour which takes you around the city.

Price haggle in the souks.
