We should start moving older threads from The Reason into one of the ALLHipHop archive forums that are listed. Be our form of FoF like an archive for older threads. I see some threads that were HUGE when they were relevant shouldn't be FoF'd but definitely deserve to be archived.

I'm going to shuffle through some older threads in the Reason and see what should be moved there.

I'm going to log off for a bit but I'll be online later tonight.

@Hrap 180 - hey fam I know you've got plenty of classic threads from way back when. Send some of those joints too if you can.

I thought you knew the hackers deleted all my threads from the reason in hurt feelings tirades. SO a lot of those threads in question no longer exist...

Fazeem you should unstick your discussion thread fam, it doesn't have to be stickied, we've got 10 threads up at the moment. Also the juggalos thread doesn't need to be stickied as well. Hell most of the posts in there are just posters making fun of it.

Naw man and I did not sticky the juggalo thread. My thread is about a ground 0 approach bringing back basic discussion for building off of getting posters to participate and find points of relations past the typical hate or stanning most threads break down to why not remove the IC rappers thread or the IC mixtape thread for a while and give something new time to breathe...

Moved this here because truthfully this is the essence of HipHop those that live the culture spitting that shit talking about what they spit and sharing that with other HipHop heads, the underground is brought to the surface and built up in threads like this so kick game...

Why didn't you check with the rest of the reason mods before you moved it to the essence? Before you became a mod we discussed it and came to a conclusion that that thread is where ic rappers can post their music in the main forum.

Sorry I've not been as active in recent months… The Essence has lost its fan base (largely because I can't pull people into the sub-forum like I used to be able to with The Essence being inside The Reason) and I've lost quite a lot of the regular crowd to traveling and careers. When you try to put the new crowd of posters on to something, it seems like it falls on deaf ears. I've tried with the signature to promote threads, but it doesn't seem to help.

So any time I up a thread or post, you don't get the 3 or 4 simultaneous views of the sub-forum that you used to on the old board when The Essence was at the top of The Reason. This was my main way of regulating posters and keeping tabs on it.

Felt like I was talking to myself in The Essence in recent months. I do stop by daily, but I just watch over The Reason and reply to anything I get in The Essence. Otherwise, mad busy year in terms of work. Definitely a stressful one. So I find it hard to check music as much as I used to be able to.

I guess I'm going through a phase of 'everyone ignores great music' what with Apollo Brown & O.C.s release being by far and away one of the best releases in recent years and yet nobody is discussing it. I made a 'great' thread in The Reason about it (I even tried to spark debate by calling it the half-album of the year), as well as the ongoing thread in The Essence and only this week have I had replies to the thread in The Essence and the one in The Reason passed without a reply lol.

I also saw that the IC Rapper Thread came into The Essence and that's just not what The Essence used to be for. It's depressing to see The Essence without heads checking for it when I've put in 6 or 7 years to it, built up twenty solid posters there each upgrade and now it's back to square one again and I no longer have the time to create 4-5 threads a day and even when I put in a lot of effort nobody seems to respond. Sorry I'm usually more positive but then I usually have 4 or 5 posters urging me on.

Thanks @sion. That is what The Essence is for. The underground has so many dope artists. There's nowhere to discuss them sensibly on the web because UGHH.com is filled with trolls or people who take it too seriously. There was always a good community feel to discussing underground hip hop in The Essence and that's why I place so much value on it.

The new board is still killer and I love it. I'll keep pushing with The Essence & try to spend more time in The Reason building respect as a poster and hopefully then passing that over into more views in The Essence.

Good to see you still here fam, bringing traffic back to The Essence I think is gonna be a bit harder than before but it can still be done. I don't really have any ideas at the moment but in due time we'll come up with something. Maybe a debate tournament could work ? *shrugs*

Yeah, I'll try anything that fits with underground and independent hip hop… I'll do a new Artist of the Month, a Where are they now? And a Playlist of the Month again. It's just getting people there that's the problem & showing posters that they can listen to other artists who are less popular… I swear 10% have the 'It Ain't Like it Used to Be' persona anyways, The Essence would wake those and other posters up.
