Far as this "exodus" goes, just tell me where a nigga can be a nigga in peace.Smoke my weed, drink henny, chase phat ass, and play my music loud without the bullshit. Get paid, live plush, and not have to jig for white folks. Where I ain't gotta feel like a soldier behind enemy lines when police show up.

That's the place I want y'all to tell me about.

A S I A

Yeah I used to live in similair apartments in Beijing and Indonesia, here in indo my apartment complex had swimming pools, a gym, restaurants, super markets, barbers/massage salons and shit, foodcourt, basically the first 2/3 floors were all exploited. I paid about 400$ per month for a one bedroom, including cleaning and laundry service lmao.

now I rent a house for about 4000/4500 a year....I dont know about Thailand but here in Indo apartments are considered expensive and you can rent a quality house for cheap....cant own any land though as a foreigner...

thats a word of advice, I married a local but we forgot to do the prenup thing, which means she lost her right to own land here in indo aswell cause she married a foreigner...so now all we can do is rent a house or buy an apartment. Were moving to holland next year so its all good but it still a damn shame we cant own a house under our own names here.

I recommend everyone to try it though, go live in an cool apartment complex in Indonesia or Thailand, the service/luxury and city life are incredible. Its allmost an utopian comfort zone if that males any sense. Especially people who are from a four seasons/cold climate zone, go try and enjoy the tropical weather, cheap but high quality life style some of the south east asians countries offer.

shouldnt even be difficult for you native english speakers, can easily work as a english teacher here(dont know about thailand but here in indo they only hire native english speakers to teach english, so aussies, brits, muricans etc). Fed up with the rat race, u can post up in asia for a year etc.

I know a lot of people who do the english teaching hustle. It's smart.

I heard Vietnam was one of the best countries for americans to live. Many expats go there after they retire. America is a great place to work, but it's a terrible place to live, especially as it relates to cost of living.

Vietnam is cool, but Thailand has been rated time and time again one of the best places if not the best for expats to live. Seriously do not sleep on it. It's an incredible quality of life here.

But do some research, here are a few links on where to re-locate:

If I'm remembering correctly, you have a broker that lives in Ghana and you've said he loves it there.

Do you have anything to add from what you've heard from him?

And what do you have to add based on growing up in Jamaica?

@zzombie

???

Yeah my eldest brother married an Ashanti woman and now live in ghana. When I get older I plan on moving there too. The number one thing I can say about moving from nation to nation is that it requires first hand contact with the native population before you make any serious moves.

Also you really really really need a plan of action before you move. So that when you get there you won't be lost.

Moving from Jamaica to NYC was easy for me because first of all I came here with my brothers. Second of all NYC has a huge Jamaican/ west Indian population. And moving to Ghana wasn't as hard for my brother because he had his wife to help him sink into the culture.

It seems to me that Almost half the black population of NYC is either west Indian or of recent west Indian descent.

Most immigrants move with little resources. For the most part, it has always been that way. Building anything from the ground up takes sacrifice and a lot of work. But proper preparation will make things better, but who said it would be easy?
