Yes He did. But again Babylon in this case, when applied to today is a state of mind and spirit. It's a way of life.

Removing ourselves from the system of "Babylon" not removing yourself from a physical place.

Physically Babylon is modern day Iraq/Iran. They had an empire.

Spiritually, "Babylon" is the political and religious systems that currently governs the world. And the fall of Babylon is the fall of that system, or the end of that particular age/era.
