I think every movie director grows with time... with that said I understand why people wouldn't GAF about this film. It's a clichéd plot: Print media exposing corruption within federal government

But I like watching Spielberg movies mostly for his technical ingenuity. No other director in Hollywood is as 'perfect' as him with his pictures when it comes to cinematography, CGI, production and costume design etc

Spielberg, Hanks, Streep - this film couldn't be any more Oscar bait if it tried.

Saying that I do forget how great Spielberg is sometimes. I was reluctant about Bridge of Spies but that is a great film.

Daniel Day-Lewis ate that movie. If not for his performance it'd been a boring ass movie. Casting was spot on
