The ONLY Reason people say Ready To Die>Life After Death...

Another thing that Helps "RTD", it had B-sides on singles that were Classic songs:

Who Shot Ya
One More Chance Remix
Dreams (Jus Playin)

So all together, Big dropped 15 Classic songs on his debut and 15 Classics songs on his sophomore. Crazy.

I wish Biggie With The Hype Shit was on RTD.

I like that song but I don't think it should of been on his Debut. If "Party and Bullshit, Who Shot Ya, Dreams and One More Chance Remix" were on the original RTD, I think that might have been the greatest rap album of all time.

disagree?

from Things done changed to suicidal thoughts, you have straight bangers.

With LAD ; I love the dough, miss you, another, playa hater,The world is filled.. are tracks that are not really that good IMO

Don't get me wrong, LAD has bangers but RTD >>>

Even though I love both albums....

Ready To Die's raw and gutter feel>>>>Life After Death's gloss and commercialism..

Sorry it's just in my Hip Hop DNA to relate to the raw Hip Hop better.

Is because u can play RTD all the way through.(aside from friend of mine) and LAD has skippables another, nasty boy, fuck u tonight, miss u) to name a few

But in terms of actual quality LAD is a much better album.

Lyrically, LAD>>>>>RTD

Production on LAD is Leaps and bounds better then RTD.

The best big songs are on LAD(Niggaz bleed, my downfall, Kick in the door etc)

I used to be a RTD>>>LAD guy buy I was wrong

Let's be real if you put the 15-17 best LAD tracks against the Entire RTD album it be a landslide in the favor of Life After Death

Only beat Life after Death got that can possibility fuck wit Unbelievable is kick in the door and I think Unbelievable is better.

If were counting the best beats on both albums LAD would've have 8 or 9 of the top ten.

LAD is on a whole other level in terms of production

My downfall
Niggaz bleed
Mo money more problems
Sky's the limit
Hypnotize
What's beef
Notorious thugs
Your nobody till somebody kills u
Last day
I love the dough
Long kiss goodnight
Going back to Cali
10 crack commandments

No contest if you put that up against RTD.

Well I hear what you're saying but the fact that they decided to add fillers on Life After Death doesn't make it better though... Still even if you would as you say put the 15 best I'm really not sure it would be better... Nah I say RTD>>>>LAD because I like it better...

One song who I always felt shouldn't been on LAD is Notorious Thugs, it's almost as weird as the Cash Money joint on Born Again... Biggie was WACK on Notorious Thugs and only highlighted Bone Thugs which isn't bad I guess, but not on a Biggie album, jeez... Seriously what the hell does that song do on that album?

I always thought Life After Death was the better Biggie album. In fact I think it's the best double album of all time.

Big destroyed bone thugs. Them niggaz are trash aside from 6 or 7 songs

His flow on that song could be compared to Silkk The Shocker

He took there own style and killed them with it. Song is over after his verse

One of the most recited verses in hip hop history

I don't think LAD is easily better. You act like it's supposed to be common knowledge when in reality its subjective and depends on your taste which is better. Ready to die is the grittier of the two albums and for people that like that kinda more boom bap traditional street shit they gonna most likely prefer RTD and can post alotta those tracks.

According to this post it's a major possibility why majority of people (including myself) like Ready To Die more than Life After Death.

But LAD is better lyrically, much better production, better stories, better songs and has ages much better.

The only agrument for RTD(as I stated in the OP, and the only one people keep arguing)

"You can play RTD nearly all the way through, LAD has filler"

But Musically, the better album is LAD

Ready to Die just epitomized that grimy vibe. I don't know about sonically but that album will always be my favorite Big album.

And Biggie DOES NOT do the Midwest flow better than Bone does. He gave a good effort in it to be respectable but Bone sounded way more comfortable spitting like that

My Desert Ease make MC's freeze

You wakin up in cold sweats, they just dreams

You still apoligizin, analyzin, my size and your size and

realizin, a fist fight would be asinine

You just pop wines I must pop nines

Genuine steel piece, nozzle in your grill piece

You're shook up, two bricks, every cook up

We can hook up, all I see is the future

Disrespect, I shoot ya

By the way, them bricks, get flipped weekly

Sold by soldiers that mix weed with the leak leak

Die for a dollar nigga, life ain't sweet

Play for keeps wet shirts with experts on the creep

I be the mob fiance, about to marry it

Illegal transactions in Farragut with Arabics

Why not, they fit twelve up in the bedroom

Imagine what they stash is like, make you a classic like

my first LP, beef with me is unhealthy

Fuck around and get an ul-cer, loose your pulse or

collapsed lung, look how many gats I brung

For them homos, still doin promos

Break both your legs you're movin slow-mo, got shined to glow mo'

Nine hundred and ninety six grams, you need for mo'
