Either way like I said like 10 pages ago. These little states Sanders wins are pyrrhic victories. They're not swaying the election in a big way and he's still splitting the delegates evenly with Hillary or barely by much and in the states be does dominate there isn't enough because they're smaller states.

He doesn't have the popular vote or delegates. He's burning cash, it's nearing the end of the democratic election for the nominee and the party seems to grow closer to Clinton as Trump's influence grows.

Word. Clinton lead against Bernie is bigger than Obama's lead against Hillary this time 8 years ago. She will win most of the Northeast and win Cali. Bernie fans are the same like Ron Paul fans they are letting emotion getting the better of them. It doesn't matter who wins because the Democratic will win the WH but the Republicans wI'll control the House of Representatives and Senate. The big money donors of the Republican side are putting cash into congressional seats. Koch Bros have a $900 million war chest for congressional seats. Expect more gridlock in the next 2 years.

Washington and Alaska aren't nearly as ethnically or culturally diverse the way other states like Florida or Georgia are. They aren't traditionally seen as such. Most of Alaska is white or native American (or both). Same for Washington state.

This is the problem with being diehard fans. The objectivity gets lost and people start looking for affirmation for their own narratives that don't exist.

Bernie does really well in predominantly white states but he languishes in ethnically diverse states. Look at the polls he doesn't have the black vote, female vote or Hispanic vote. That's all Trillary.

Did I say they are traditionally seen as something different?

I have news for you guy... in the United States everywhere besides D.C. and Hawaii are predominantly white.

Funny thing is, according to the US Census, Alaska IS generally more diverse than Florida. Washington is about the same depending on how you count the white latinos. Either way, they're all in the top half of most diverse states. These places aren't just what you see from TV and the tourist destinations.

Democratic senator: Sanders campaign promises a 'vision'

Washington (CNN)Jeff Merkley, who on Wednesday became the first U.S. senator to endorse Bernie Sanders, promptly downplayed expectations for the Democratic contender's campaign promises.

"They are a campaign vision," Merkley, an Oregon Democrat, told CNN's Jake Tapper on "The Lead." "You can call them a promise to fight for the direction we need to go."

Merkley was responding to a longstanding criticism from Democrats and others that Sanders' proposals -- including free tuition at public universities and universal health care coverage -- are too "pie in the sky."

The New York Daily News blasted Sanders on its front page declaring him a "fantasist."

But Merkley argued that even presenting the goals he espouses makes them more likely to happen.

"By laying out that vision, the likelihood of taking steps in that direction become much more significant," he told Tapper.

Earlier Wednesday, Merkley called the Vermont independent's vision "very bold and powerful."

"Bernie Sanders is the individual who has put forward a very bold and powerful vision on the biggest issues facing America and the biggest issues in the world," Merkley told CNN Wednesday.

More senators might have endorsed Sanders had they believed earlier in the race that he would have been a competitive candidate, Merkley suggested.

"I think most senators took their positions very early on, at a time that I don't think very many people anticipated that Bernie Sanders was going to become a significant player in the presidential primary," Merkley said. "Perhaps if we were to turn the clock back, there'd be a lot more company."

Funny that Obamas approval rating has been steadily going up as this election season goes on. I guess he's starting to look better when compared to these new candidates

I think I speak for my fellow americansvwhen I say we dgaf what Europe thinks

yeah I know some of yall dont give a fuck about what Africans, Europeans etc think, shit goes both ways.

others who are actually interested in the world and international politics do actually care about that shit and know the likes of Hillary(or god forbid) Trump will have a negative impact on int.relations.

Pleasantly surprised that Bernie actually reiterated his criticism of Israel's "disproportionate response" (basically its policies in the West Bank and Gaza toward Palestinians) even after coming under fire for his national Jewish outreach coordinator choice that was suspended today for being deemed "anti-Israel".

Especially when you take into account that Hilary was/is definitely more hesitant to criticize Israeli policies.

Bernie's foggy, disjointed answers regarding his plans to break up the banks was interesting to say the least and Hillary's perspective on that was/is definitely more pragmatic.

btw despite antagonistic skirmishes at times, tonight's Dem debate was essentially, a much healthier and clean debate than the GOP could even dream of mustering at this juncture in the election.

She was over the top during this CNN debate. I cringed everytime she mentioned Obama and she kept going off tangent with every questions lol

She needs to start giving straight answers, got me screaming "answer the goddamm question lady" the whole time. I don't think I could manage to hear her speak anytime soon damn

It's not about Europe dictating our policies. It's about republicans in centrists clothing telling us what America can't do. If we're such the "superpower" why is it that all of these other developed nations are able to accomplish something we claim is impossible? Especially when evaluated per capita it's clear that it should be much easier for us to achieve than it was for them.

We're talking about shit like universal medicare here. Shit like, "why would we let Europe dictate our policies," defines juvenile thinking.

Shit yall can improve those systems and do better. Colorado's soft drugs/weed policy shits all over Holland's system for example. Why couldnt some states introduce a healthcare system that shits all over the Swedish One?

ofcourse lobbygroups will try their best to Block such systems, it took quite a While before Colorado legalized weed, but in the end, such things are possible.
