It's all about digital sales now.

Radiohead put their album online and said "Donate whatever you want, or just have it for free, we just love our fans."

They made boat loads of money.

So why does it even matter what it sold? If Ross and the team can keep delivering CLASSIC material selling what they're selling now then why even worry about sales?

I'm not worried about their sales. It only mattered when other Ross fans prior to the album dropping spoke about album sales in general (mostly because of some talk about MMG running hip-hop which they arent)

Now this is turning into a matter of opinion. Not to mention there have been plenty of other compilations that came out that let their new talent shine and better than how Ross did it. I'm not even talking about sales anymore. I only mentioned the soundscan because you asked.

It's a different world when the artists are making more money off their endorsements than the whole company.... Soon going platinum is gonna be like selling 10 million records.
