The only reason I can think of for why Dre ain't told Ghost about Kanan yet is because Dre trying to figure out how to take care of Kanan on his own. At least, I have to think a street cat like him wouldn't just let Kanan manhandle his daughter like that without doing something to him....

The reality though is that his fear of Kanan is greater than his respect for Ghost...
