Tariq right now is a young nigga rebelling against his father and most import he still trying to figure out life. The lil nigga is what 14 -15 years old.

Kanan tells him he is friend of Dre who Tariq probably trust or at least looks up to and real cool with. Tells him he knew Shawn who Tariq loved and looked up to and felt was like a big brother, uncle, father figure type. Also tells him he knows his father real well. Then Kanan shows up with a big flashy benz at his school.

Its all right there for everybody to see why Tariq would hang with Kanan. Lil nigga looking for guidance, attention and answers and his father not around to give him any of that.

If Power was ending in Season 4, then I would see the following scenario play out:

Ghost and crew defeats Milan, but Kanan murks Tariq.

Ghost kills Kanan.

Witnessing the dangers of the Milan and Kanan situations firsthand, along with Tariq's murder, Tasha realizes why Ghost left to be with Angela and tries to reconcile with him.

Finally, Tasha realizes there is no longer term future in the drug game.

What the hell that mean homie?!
