Hugh Jackman Wants Wolverine To Join The Avengers

You may think you really want Wolverine to be in one of the next Avengers movies, but the man who plays Wolverine probably wants it more.

Actor Hugh Jackman, speaking with IGN while promoting X-Men: Days of Future Past, says he’d love for the character to join the Paramount/Disney franchise.

Jackman explains the appeal for him (and the character): “Because there’s a great dysfunction among that team, and I think Wolverine would fit right into that. He’d like that.”

Marvel famously added the loner mutant to the comics version of the team with the debut of the New Avengers some years back. But thanks to some pretty cut-and-dry contracts made before the big Marvel movie boom, the chances of Fox agreeing to let the character start hacking and slashing at the Mandarin are pretty slim to nil.

Still, Jackman has some ideas about what he’d like to see in a potential Wolverine and the Avengers movie. The actor seems to be eying all of the potential beefs that Wolverine could get into on the team, including brawls with Iron Man and the Hulk. “There’s no doubt he’d get in a f!ght with Hulk at some point. Those two bad, rage-filled characters are going to square off at some point. It would be quite fun. I don’t know how much fun to shoot it would be because I’m sure I’d be on the worst end of it, but hey, he can heal.”

You heard it here first, guys: Hugh Jackman says Wolverine would totally get owned by the Hulk and he’s okay with that.

In the meantime, Jackman is on board for another Wolverine sequel as well as X-Men: Apocalypse.

Make that sh-t happen...

EDGAR WRIGHT DEPARTS MARVEL’S ANT-MAN

Director Edgar Wright has left his Marvel Studios film Ant-Man.

Variety reports that Marvel already has a new director lined up for the film, but they're not revealing the name just yet.

edgarwright-wide.jpg

The studio and Wright (Shaun of the Dead, The World’s End) split up "due to differences in their vision of the film," Marvel and the director said in a statement.

This is certainly a big surprise, especially when considering that Wright has been attached to the project ever since Marvel Studios first announced its initial slate of films back in 2006. The project took a backseat as other characters were given priority, but Wright always maintained that the film would happen -- he even unveiled test footage of the character at Comic-Con in 2012. And in fact, Ant-Man finally did ramp up at Marvel with Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas signing on to play two different versions of the titular hero.

Both parties claim the decision to move on is “amicable” and that this will not affect the release of the film, which is still on for July 17, 2015. Wright also co-wrote the script for Ant-Man with Joe Cornish (Attack the Block).

This is certainly an odd development, and we’ll keep you posted as we hear more.

So that's what 3 or 4 directors that have left Marvel Studios? That antman footage did look good though ahh well scrap that shit and bring the gawd

what happened and one of the new actors confirmed was Marvel wanted a Hank Pym, Edgar wanted to continue to use the old micheal douglas hank pym, marvel made the change, along with the change to add ant-man in the shared universe made him leave.

So basically marvel changing up the script to have the movie not about scott lang but Pym and Janet

I hate it that none of these movies have secrets anymore. No character reveals just story driven. That's fucked up. Too many spoilers on the net. Avengers three should drop like Magna Carts or that Beyonce album

I'm going to be cautious because of the comedy aspect I don't want it to be a straight up dark knight status and I do get that they want it to be more fun. I just don't want that corny humor that marvel has done to im3 and thor 2.

there was nothing wrong with the humor in thor 2 remember transformers revenge of the fallen? now that's going too far.

Some New AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Spoilers Highlight Plot Points, Costumes And More

The folks over Joblo have posted what they claim to be spoiler tidbits regarding the next year's highly-anticipated Avengers: Age of Ultron. The site has previously posted some Guardians of the Galaxy spoilers which have, for the most part, turned out to be legit. Therefore, read the following with caution even though these so-called spoilers are considerably minor. Anyhow, it is first mentioned that we'll see three different versions of the titular villain, Ultron, which writer/director Joss Whedon has confirmed in the past. "His original state is very rudimentary, but he's constantly upgrading" throughout the film. "He is coated in Vibranium and spends the film seeking out more of the raw material to continue his 'upgrades,'" reveals the source. "James Spader is playing the titular villain and our source says that he will be doing mo-cap for at least one iteration of the character, meaning that Ultron may be much more than "just a helmet" at some point." And like we all expected after seeing the Avengers Tower in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, "Tony Stark is indeed bankrolling The Avengers this time out. With the dissolution of S.H.I.E.L.D. in The Winter Soldier and it's subsequent "handover" to Phil Coulson in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Tony Stark takes on the role of global security by housing The Avengers in the former Stark Tower, now Avengers Tower, where he funds new tech, new costumes, and even a new Quinjet."

It's then revealed that the "Iron Legion" will return appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron, although that may not be what they are called in the film. "Tony Stark/Iron Man has created an army of Iron Man 'drones' (much like he utilized at the end of Iron Man 3) and uses them to 'keep the peace.' The Avengers are not in hiding or attempting to keep a low profile. They are very public and 'out' about their intention of keeping the world safe, especially with the absence of S.H.I.E.L.D." As for costumes, Joblo further suggest thats "all (or most) of The Avengers will be rocking an Avengers logo on their costumes, courtesy of the upgrade to each superhero's duds, thanks to Stark," which we got a peek at when Chris Evans was seen costumed and filming in South Korea months ago. "Black Widow will have 2 batons that have shocking ability as part of her new arsenal and Hawkeye will indeed be rocking the long sleeve jacket that is reminiscent of his comics costume. Hulk will now be wearing "stretchy pants" that grow and shrink with him when he goes back and forth between Banner and Hulk." As for The Vision, played by Paul Bettany, his costume is "said to retain the green/yellow color scheme, albeit with the usual Marvel Cinematic upgrade. Our source indicates that, much like Ultron, Vision is not expected to make his final, full reveal until the third act of the film. The how and why of that is wide open for discussion, but it makes sense. I wouldn't be surprised if Vision makes the "sacrifice play" for this one, but that's just my feeling." For even more tidbits, head over to Joblo. What do you think?

The Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, with Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, and James Spader. The film is set for release on May 1, 2015.

the patch doesn't take away from the costumes I like it. I see that they are merging black widow with mockingbird.
