Wouldn't those bullets be bigger than him if he is indeed the size of an ant? They messed up trying to make a cool looking poster

He can control his size. He doesn't always have to be the size of an ant.

But he's obviously riding an insect.

Not necessarily an ant though. Insects do come in a variety of sizes you know.

Bitch move by Gunn. If that's how Marvel is going to play it, just release the entire fucking deal that was made so many years ago so we know every single detail of who owns what.

This was just Gunn trolling fans into hating Fox even though DOFP is better than 90% Marvel movies easily.

DOFP ain't better than Iron Man, Avengers or Cap 2 but it's better than everything else. PLease don't tell me you think the Iron Man sequels and Thor movies are good movies

Gotdamn man I would've preferred Ultron breaking in to Wakanda and stealing some of the metal. Man this movie really had a lot of scenes removed by the higher ups.

nah Wakanda doesnt get invaded its part of the lore, they drove back Thanos army in Infinity Ultron wouldnt be able to do it

James Gunn Rules Out Two Big Marvel Villains for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy 2′

Kang-the-Conqueror-700x300.jpg

Besides some returning core characters, there’s really no saying who’ll appear in Guardians of the Galaxy 2. The film will have nearly a decade of MCU stories to draw from, not to mention several decades of comic book history.

But if you’d like to try and narrow down the possibilities, here are two more names (or more accurately, a name and a race) that we can cross off the list. Neither Kang the Conqueror nor the Shi’ar Empire will appear in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, as confirmed by director James Gunn. Read his Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Kang and Shi’ar comments after the jump.

Gunn ruled out some big Marvel baddies for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 during a Facebook Q&A. “Shi’ar and Kang are both owned by Fox,” he said. Although the Shi’ar and Kang have crossed paths with various MCU characters including Guardians of the Galaxy in the comics, they’re more closely a.ssociated with the X-Men and the Fantastic Four, and thus controlled by Fox. And don’t hold your breath for a change of heart: “All decisions about who is in GotG2 were made a long time ago,” Gunn added.

Kang the Conqueror is a frequent foe of both the Fantastic Four and the Avengers. He first appears as Kang in 1964 Avengers comic, but he really debuted in a 1963 Fantastic Four comic under the name Pharaoh Rama-Tut. His real name, however, is Nathaniel Richards, and he’s a time-traveling scholar born in 3000 AD. As his name suggests, he’s a distant relative of Reed Richards from the Fantastic Four. (If you thought that paragraph was confusing, just try parsing his official Marvel.com bio.)

The Shi’ar were originally introduced in a 1976 X-Men comic. Along with the Kree (Ronan’s people) and the Skrulls (who also belong to Fox), they’re one of the three major alien empires in the Marvel comic book universe. They figure prominently into a number of X-Men storylines, including the famous Dark Phoenix saga.

Besides Kang and the Shi’ar, the growing list of characters that will certainly not be in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 include Ronan the Accuser, Captain Marvel, Venom, Gladiator, Bug, Rom: Spaceknight, and Richard Rider a.k.a. Nova.

The characters that will appear include the main Guardians (Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, etc.) plus Yondu (Michael Rooker) and Nebula (Karen Gillan). Gunn has also teased the debut of one of his favorite superheroes, but hasn’t confirmed a name. Possibilities floated by the fandom include Beta Ray Bill, Starhawk, and Adam Warlock, three characters Gunn has expressed an affinity for in the past.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 opens May 5, 2017.

I cant wait for Guardians 2 but I really dont see why theyre not including Nova, seems like a missed opportunity. If Beta Ray Bill is in it it would be dope though

How does Fox own the Shi'ar , and Skrulls but not the Kree?

Also I was wondering why Kang has never been mentioned all these years smh had no idea Fox has his rights. He's always been a threat to the Avengers due to his future technology and intelligence.

kang is to dope for the fantastic 4. i wish marvel could get the rights. he'd be great for gotg or avengers. do they plan on bringing the skrulls to the fantastic 4. if marvel had the rights they could of used them for a secret invasion movie.

Spidy got a great rogues, why not somebody who hasn't been on film before. Like Kraven or Mysterio

co-sign, i been saying they should use Kraven the Hunter and get Colin Farrell to play him

a lot of spidermans enemies havent been used like scorpion the chameleon.

DOFP is better than:

The First Avenger

Iron Man 2

Iron Man 3

Thor

The Dark World

The Incredible Hulk

Guardians of the Galaxy

easily. You can make arguments for both Avengers, The Winter Soldier, and Iron Man 1 but my point is, MCU's movies aren't head over heels better than Fox's.

DoFP isn't better than GotG and is probably on par with the First Avenger. Also, Marvel has shown that it can make good movies without butchering the characters. Fox still struggles to do that. I've enjoyed some of Fox's movies, but Marvel's movies are better. DoFP is a standout, but what about the Last Stand and both Fantastic Four movies?

I loved dofp. These others movies getting real predictable imo. The new avengers specifically. I knew exactly when it was the perfect time to take a piss. As i was pissin i thought to myself, shiiit i can make a movie.

lol I think it's funny how people keep patting themselves on the back for their "prediction" abilities regarding the Marvel movies. What exactly are you predicting? They've already given us a roadmap for the MCU. Clearly surprise isn't a reaction they are going for. They are more concerned with making the overall story as epic as possible. I don't think they care if one piece of that story here and there is predictable.

^^^

While I don't disagree, I kinda wish I hadn't known as much as I did going into Age of Ultron. The Hulk vs. Veronica fight, the assault on the Hydra base, SW and Quicksilver joining the Avengers... I would just have liked to have seen all that in theatre first.

I'm lenient on the movie cause I know it is an incomplete film and that's not entirely anyone's fault. But my biggest complaint is that there was no real story, just a bunch of sequential events: Avengers get Loki's staff, Stark uses the staff to make Ultron, Ultron turns evil and tries to destroy shit, Avengers stop him. The end.

Could Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron end up starring in an Angelina Jolie-directed Captain Marvel film for Marvel Studios?

Theron and Jolie (Unbroken) have reportedly bonded since they were introduced to each other via their significant others: Sean Penn and Brad Pitt. Their friendship is going so well that there is talk of them teaming up on a Marvel film together.

"Marvel has been courting Angie to direct the project and Charlize is a clear fan favourite for the starring role," a source told US OK! magazine (via Washington Post). "If Charlize were to get the part, Angie would almost certainly sign on to work with her."

Theron has earned plenty of praise for her kick-butt performance as 'Furiousa' in George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road. Many have suggested her for the role of Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, an ex-Air Force pilot that acquires cosmic super powers.

Captain Marvel is scheduled to open in theaters November 2, 2018. The script is being written by Nicole Perlman and Megan LeFauve.

Those Thor movies, Incredible Hulk and iron man sequels are fucking garbage and on par with x men 3 and spider man 3. Cap 1 is just boring

I swear if the beginning of those movies said Sony or universal instead of marvel, yall would say the same thing

Cap 1 was my favorite intro movie besides Iron Man. It was a little slow, but i liked it being based in the 40's and the WW2 feel of it. Shit was way better than both thors and IM2 and 3 imo. Cap 2 was better than cap 1 by far though.
