Worldwide gross as of today $1,277,969,385

Let some of these niggas in here tell it, you'd think it was the worse movie ever.

Numbers never lie bitches.

whoa people here really aint feeling this? I thought it was better than the first. shit was funny as fuck too.

Movie had no depth and had alot of the same notes of the original. Like I said before if you seen the first avengers you seen AOU, replace faceless alien 32 with random robots 32 and you got AOU . Also Marvel promoted this movie as being dark in tone, showing a clip of caps broken shield in the preview. We all believed Ultron was going to be a beast but nope!! Ultron was no threat; dude got shattered like glass each time. This movie played out like a Saturday morning cartoon.

These are the silly complaints I don't get.

The movie had no depth? Did you miss all the character development? Did you miss all the foreshadowing for things to come in the MCU? What exactly is your definition of depth.

And the "Ultron was no threat" complaint is just stupid. If you watch the movie, you'd know that he wasn't even trying to be a major threat until like the last 30 mins of the movie. All before that, he was legitimately trying to help humanity. Even when he revealed his crazy plan, it was still designed not to destroy humanity but to force humanity to evolve so it could handle the threats coming for it. When he finally decided he wanted to destroy humanity, he came up with a plan to cause an E.L.E. that almost worked. So how was he not a threat? Because he couldn't beat the entire Avengers team solo? Where was it ever suggested he could or would do that? Because his plan didn't work? It's a fucking movie. Villain plans almost never work in the end. Shit doesn't make any sense.

And it came off like a Saturday morning cartoon because they are giving all the films in the MCU an episodic feel. You're supposed to feel like each movie is part of a bigger picture. I don't understand how that still isn't clear to people. The whole point of the Avengers movies are to tie everything together from that particular phase and then set the groundwork for the coming phase. This movie did that perfectly. People complaining about how the story doesn't stand tall on its own are completely missing the point. It's not supposed to. The same went for the first movie.

Tilda Swinton in Talks to Join Benedict Cumberbatch in Marvel's 'Doctor Strange'

The actress is negotiations to portray the Ancient One, the Tibetan mystic who is a mentor to Dr. Strange.

Tilda Swinton is on her way to the Marvel Universe.

The actress is in negotiations to join Benedict Cumberbatch in Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange, being directed by Scott Derrickson.

Strange is Marvel’s supernatural hero, a formerly c*cky surgeon who loses the use of his hands, and while on a last ditch attempt to heal himself, discovers magic.

Strange’s mentor is a Tibetan mystic known as the Ancient One, who is training pupils to be the next sorcerer supreme. In the comics, the character has been a male, and Marvel Studios initially was searching for a male actor.

But the studio rethought the role and has now made it female. If a deal makes, Swinton will play the Ancient One.

Strange has a release date of Nov. 4, 2016. The movie is due to begin shooting November in the U.K.

Kevin Feige is producing.

Joining a Marvel movie is the latest move for Swinton, whose film résumé reveals an actress that refuses to be pigeonholed in any way.

The actress will be seen with Amy Schumer in Judd Apatow’s new comedy, Trainwreck, and has appeared in the last two Wes Anderson movies, The Grand Budapest Hotel and Moonrise Kingdom. In between, she gave a show stopping performance as a brutally poised but unbalanced villainess in Snowpiercer, Joon-ho Bong’s sci-fi movie that starred Chris Evans.

She won an Oscar for best supporting actress for 2007’s Michael Clayton and played the angel Gabriel in the 2005 adaptation of DC Entertainment’s comic Constantine.

Marvel had no comment.

Swinton is repped by UTA and Hamilton Hodell in the UK.
