This was today at 30 and 50 yards, I took three shots standing up at 30 yards and 1 of the shots went wide to the right, the 3 high shots were my first 3 at 50 yards, ya'll right about 5.56 producing way more recoil

I haven't put more than 200 rounds through it. MOA groups at 100 were a piece of cake not too long, I can't imagine the barrel deteriorating that quickly instead of a gradual decrease in accuracy.
yeah, i don't know... it sounds like you're right...

Not a gun enthusiasts but stepping into this rifle world feels like it can definitely be addicting with all the money I done spent on these upgrades, shit.
just be glad you're working with an infinitely modular rifle like an AR and not something else

perhaps, perhaps... but it's not like you can't have fun shooting WITHOUT it is all i am saying

might shoot a fair amount without them so i might be biased

@ZydecoShawty why u flaggin bruh? It's actually a legit question. Why buy a cheap rifle and spend a ton on upgrades when you could A. Just buy a higher quality rifle from the get go, or B. Just fuckin build a better one yourself for even cheaper.

I looked at the rifles that cost more after the fact and I honestly didn't see much of a difference other than some of the rifles already having some of the Magpul furniture I had just put on there. And I don't need a AR with one of them long ass upper front rails. My shit is gas powered and shoots .223 and 5.56 just like that other shit and I haven't had any issues firing my shit. From what I researched, Smith and Wesson has a really good warranty attach to it's product, so I think I'm good when my bolt carrier group starts to deteriorate.

to be fair, some of the best warranties are attached to shittier products for a reason. looking at you, Hi-Point!

really, though, he's just breaking your balls

But the main part that's likely to break down on the rifle is the bolt carrier group due to usage right? If that's covered under the warranty and they'll replace it then I'm good. I clean and lubricate after everytime I shoot now (I actually like stripping and cleaning now for some strange damn reason), I'd be surprised if I'd have problems with any other part on the rifle other than the bolt carrier group.

barring something extreme and random, yes, but it's likely not going to be covered when it fails

There is something oddly soothing and rewarding about stripping a gun down, cleaning, and putting it back together.
oh absolutely

anybody on here distance shoot with bolt action rifles out to 1000 yds?

I'm contemplating converting a Remington 700 SPS to either the new enhanced mil-spec stock or even one of them sexy AX International stocks like the link below:

https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1...long-action-338-lapua-magnum-5-round-magazine

currently I got a .30-06 that I use as a training rifle, but I'm also considering getting a Remington 700 in .338 to try to get out to 1500yds........but since I'm on the east coast it's not that easy finding a Remington with .338 barrel without overpaying for it

It took me 39 rounds to get this damn red dot sighted in at 50 yards, I didn't understand how I was supposed to place the dot at first and had the dot real low when I first started shooting that it was almost touching my a2 front sight, that explains that high ass line in the upper right corner of the target.
