I didn't like these movies before it was cool to not like them. Like from the beginning though I did like part 2 when I watched it on video.

Regardless of how disappointed I was with the original movie though I liked Wolverine in it cause of Jackman's performance. Dude was hungry that role made him a star. You could also tell Singer and his cronies knew the cartoon more than the comic. So it had that balance of PG friendly Wolverine that still felt legit.

In the first 2 movies I liked Wolverine and I'm traditionally a Cyclops fan but Jackman embodied the role well as written. They fucked up after that though for almost 10 years straight but DofP a genre classic IMO and it's pretty much a Wolverine movie and his last solo was not bad so I won't front like he never held it down despite his shortcomings.

Wolverine 3: New Look At Caliban In Logan

Earlier today, Logan director James Mangold offered up the first image of Stephen Merchant as Caliban in Hugh Jackman's final Wolverine movie.

Now Merchant himself has followed suit, posting his own photo of himself as Caliban.

The photo Merchant shared shows Caliban in an outfit that matches the characters first appearance in 1981's Uncanny X-Men #148, by Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum. In the issue, the simple Caliban, who longed for companionship, tried to kidnap Kitty Pryde and make her his prize. Luckily, SPider-Woman and Dazzler were around to save the day, and Kitty and Caliban came to a friendly understanding.

Caliban also appeared in this year's X-Men: Apocalypse where he was played by a different actor, Tómas Lemarquis.

Caliban was introduced to the Marvel Universe as one of the Morlocks, the sewer-dwelling tribe of mutants who have had a long-standing relationship with the X-Men. Caliban has the mutant ability to track other mutants and to channel the emotions of those around him to increase his own physical strength. He was eventually made a Horseman of Apocalypse but he returned to the X-Men fold during the Messiah CompleX event, where he died in the line of battle.

In Logan, Caliban is said to be assisting Wolverine in taking care of the ill and aging Professor X.

According to reports, Logan takes place in a near future where Wolverine's mutant abilities are not quite what they used to be, and mutant births are down across the globe. Wolverine and the mutant Caliban take care of Professor X in his old age. Meanwhile, a corporation called Transigen is turning mutant children into killed machines. Wolverine meets one of these children, whose hand can be seen in the first poster. The child has two claws like Wolverine's that protrude from her hand and Wolverine vows to protect her.

Logan is directed by James Mangold and stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle and Elise Neal.

The title, Logan, is likely an homage to the comic book story "Old Man Logan," on which Logan is said to be loosely based.

Logan opens in theaters on March 3, 2017.
