I agree with the thought that Disney has contingency plans if this joint went through or not.. a plan if it did.. and a fallback if it didn't. This acquisition was probably in the works for some time now.

Them adding the skrulls to the MCU was a big indicator to me that the plan was going through. Yeah they SHARE the rights but if they wanted to use the skrulls before now they could have instead of the chitauri we saw way back when during the first avengers movie..before the acquisition was possibility

It won’t be until after phase 4 until you see changes. This acquisition will take a year to complete.

I can go on and on. Mutants in marvel are oppression porn for white people. That’s why they love to say magneto and Xavier are Malcom and Martin of the mutant world. When all you see are a bunch of rich super models.

I haven't read Marvel comics regularly since 2006 and I last read X-Men when the "All New" series first started a few years back. So I wasn't aware that they made Forge black. He was always native.

The difference is and it's a major one. They had another studio besides themselves (Sony) do the heavy lifting on Homecoming. All Sony had to do was restructure and reallocate their cancelled Amazing Spider-Man 3 resources into a new Spidey project. That is not the case now. Disney IS Fox and they already have a lot on their plate as it is for the next 3 years. Not just Marvel.

Will Disney close down Fox Studios or expand to include Fox Studios?

Because that'll be the deciding factor. They could keep all of those people and resources afloat and just oversee it all, which means adding an additional (ballpark) 10 more films a year won't affect them cause the staff and studio just doubled in size.

The threads stay separate until the X Men, Deadpool, Fantanstic Four, and Silver Surfer ALL no longer exist independently of the MCU.

I think they'll fold it under the Disney banner as opposed to leaving it strictly Buena Vista but keep it independent. I see Fox being their new Touchstone Pictures.

Really I see nothing but positives in all this for one thing x men will have the real apocalypse should they choose to do it. If marvel can bring thanos to life then apoc would be no problem. I bet they'll make an xmen movie with a dope juggernaut.

Yeah I really like the idea of krasinski as Mr fantastic.

I still want to see new mutants and deadpool 2. And possibly xmen phoenix, but they should use the Phoenix to end this fox and xmen shit then incorporate them into the mcu. Deadpool will be easy to do since he breaks the 4th wall, but the rest should have a soft reboot.
