John Campea was reading that the raw figure deal is closer to 66 billion.

We've all been talking about how this benefits Disney and Marvel, but how does this benefit Fox? That's a shitload of money for the most Republican loyal corporation on the face of thr planet.

Fox News is gonna be 24 hours news channel on steroids when the Murdochs make that bank.

On the Disney tip they get to release the unaltered Star Wars trilogy on home video in a couple of years. The 20th Century Fox fanfare will likely be in front of Star Wars movies again in the future.

And the money superpacs can receive come election time to ensure Donald Trump isn't the last Republican President the US has?

What's the consequence behind us running to the theaters for the next 15+ years to watch superhero films?

Oh yeah their donations to the GOP will also be significantly bumped up no question. Not just their propoganda machine.

Damn deal almost done 52.4 billion waiting to be approved in a year

But people want to think they'll see these characters in the MCU by Infinity War 2 or whatever they call that shit lmao

Told you guys. This is gonna take some serious time. They're not just gonna table everything they already have in production or post production at both studios to make the nerds happy. That shit will cost them billions in wasted revenue.

I think Marvel got the rights to X Men and Fantastic Four a while ago but its been on the hush. There's a reason Phase 4 is so secretive.

It would've have to have been over a year ago in order for that to even be possible.

The rumors started in late 2016 when phase 4 was announced to be more intergalactic. Captain Marvel and the skrulls weren't secrets...

Won't be long until they retry Alien Vs. Predator again. All I hope is they leave Die Hard alone.

The last die hard was ass. That series needs adjustments too

Only adjustment it needs is to remain untouched. Leave it alone. Even though I enjoyed some of the sequels it should've never become a "series" to begin with.

They will not have a movie influenced by this deal ready by next year. That's not how movie production works. Next year they will be way too busy working on what they're gonna need ready for 2019 (Capt Marvel, Avengers 4, the next Spider-Man etc.)

I wouldn’t be surprise there are contingency plans for if when Marvel acquired their properties again. But yeah we probably don’t see anything happening until the end of phase 4. But look how quickly they made spider man homecoming .

It won’t be until after phase 4 until you see changes. This acquisition will take a year to complete.

Happy for th F4 not for racist ass X-men. Stan lee rolling around in his grave for what they represent in 2017

Huh? Did I miss something??

How are Xmen racist?

Isn't Stan Lee still alive?

This is what's being overlooked.

They put Spiderman in the MCU as soon as the ink dried. They even pushed back Black Panther and moved up Ragnorak to accommodate it.

It's about to be 2018 and the only movies we know are coming are the next 2 Avengers films, Black Panther, Ant Man 2, Captain Marvel, and Spiderman 2.

No date for Doctor Strange 2 or GOTG3 announced yet. We could see some of these properties folded into the MCU sooner than later.

The difference is and it's a major one. They had another studio besides themselves (Sony) do the heavy lifting on Homecoming. All Sony had to do was restructure and reallocate their cancelled Amazing Spider-Man 3 resources into a new Spidey project. That is not the case now. Disney IS Fox and they already have a lot on their plate as it is for the next 3 years. Not just Marvel.
