I don't want the X-Men in the MCU. They work perfectly fine enough independently. The movies just need a creative shot in the arm. This regime been at it for 16 years. They are creatively washed up with the material. They literally don't know what else to do at this point. It's very telling.

I kinda agree with you at this point in time. MCU has grown big as fuck and is established. It would be kinda weird to be like "oh yeah, there's mutants here as well" out of the blue.

But they could easily use the aftermath of the infinity saga. To create the x-gene and insert mutants into the MCU. It is getting a little crowded so x-men stand alone films UNDER MARVELS close watch would be a better option. Just making cameos in the other movies doing team ups would be cool as well. Captain america 3 would have been even better with the key players from the story. Like professor X was like the person holding everything together before everything went to shit. The whole thing started because of mutants in the first place lol. Also, these infinity films that are coming are gonna suffer as well without their key players.

Fantastic 4 and the x-men are apart of pretty much every major marvel story. They also play big roles in them. We were supposed to see

captain america and wolverine team ups.

Storm and black panther interactions.

Rogue and ms marvel

mr fantastic, Bruce banner, and tony stark interactions

Some X-men joining the avengers

The list goes on...... Fox need they ass kicked. They wasn't really doing shit with them until they seen thew MCU blow up. They saw $$$ and was like "NOPE, we keeping them" lol. They never really intended to make actual live action comic movies. It really shows how much they don't give a fuck looking back on all their movies too. Kinda reminds me of what DC did to the t.v shows. They wasn't really doing shit movie wise. Until green arrow and the flash blew up. Then all of a sudden they start pumping out new DC movie material. It slowed flash down(pun intended) and damn near killed arrow for 2 seasons. Arrow was supposed to be so turnt up after season 2 but they had to can half of the stories they had planned. All because of them mid core movies they were planning.

I agree that the mutants and especially F4 are crucial to the overall Marvel narrative. It's not a coincidence that those were always my favorite 2 corners of the Marvel verse outside of the Spideyverse.

Without the mutants and especially Marvel's first family the narrative seems really fucked up and feels very hollow. It's one of the reasons I can't stand the MCU. Another being that I really hate the way they have reinterpreted some of Marvel's most interesting characters in the comics (Vision, Scarlet Witch, Black Widow, Nick fucking Fury, Thor and especially poor Hawkeye) into some fuck boy characters that are blander than unflavored salt.

Truth be told if it wasn't for Iron Man (who the movies greatly improved), Hulk (cause he's the GOAT) and Cap I really wouldn't give a fuck. I will watch Spidey: Homecoming though cause that one was long overdue.

With that said transferring the X clan and first family over to the MCU would be a really convoluted endeavor today. Especially cause the X movies are not even irreparably broken. They just need to make certain adjustments.

Like for example I think I really want a deadpool and wolverine movie cause it would make sense. Especially considering that they are the faces of the franchise right now.

I lowkey hope Jackman does that one as his real last one cause Logan is gonna be a megahit.

Besides Fox isn't Sony. They're not desperate to the point of patheticness and tensions between both Marvel and Fox and Disney and Fox are really high (see: Marvel Vs Capcom 4 controversy and Star Wars).

When I heard that Johnny Cash song "Hurt" I immediately started geeking out on the Logan trailer.

Song fit the feel of that trailer perfectly. I haven't really liked a solo wolverine movie or a xmen movie for that matter, but the song and trailer alone had me hyped af for logan. The R rating should make things interesting too.

I'm hoping FOX does all their films with an R rating or at least the ones that really make sense like wolverine, deadpool, and x force.

A rebooted xmen with a new bad ass magneto could make a cool r rated film too

I though fassbender was a dope magneto though, wish they would have gotten more r rated with his version. The way he killed those cops in apacolypse was dope af.

Fox is positioning New Mutants as a film trilogy. If anything New Mutants should be a TV series and X-Force a movie trilogy.

if fox is going to keep these properties they should have writers and directors and actors who know the source material and who are passionate about he characters. look at what ryan Reynolds did with Deadpool and having the right director , costume designers etc.

X-MEN: SUPERNOVA - working title for new film

They just turned in the script 1st part of the Phoenix saga

Laws should passed to prevent Fox from EVER doing a film adaption of The Phoenix Saga.

Can Fox even do Old Man Logan storyline without some marvel characters?

That's like askin' can Marvel do Civil War without the FF and the X-Men.

How do you know not what to do with the X-Men? When I had the opportunity to meet the gawd Chris Claremont at an in-store at Jim Henley's Universe, I asked why he stayed on X-Men for 16 years straight. He said that he still had stories to tell. If a comic book writer can be on a title for damn near a total for thirty-five years and still crank out material, then why can't that happen in the movie end.

No knowing what to do with the X-Men, that's like when back in the day, when the first time I kicked it with my freaky Pureto Rican friend and she took off her pants and she was sittin' there with her pussy out waitin' to be fucked and Rex was wondering what she wanted me to do.
