this is the goat forum, ive joined thecoli a couple years ago but only for extra hip-hop related discussion.. i never wanna learn new personalities and shit for real convo that occurs in G&S/Donkey.

IC taught me a lot of shit and gave me insight into world views and opinions i woulda never had without it.

also just realized the IC is the reason i met the "the one".. although it didn't work out with her.. so now she's "the one that got away".. but i could never be more grateful for that experience. (she didn't post on the IC, it was indirectly because me and Sunflower decided to to TinyChat for the IC for awhile back in 2010/2011)

If I'm understanding it correctly, AHH and The Maven have already entered into some sort of contractual agreement/partnership.

Meaning, whether we like it or not.........it's a done deal.

There's probably some kind of penalty for either party if they decide to break the contract, so........more than likely...........we're gonna be stuck with some sort of new format for the foreseeable future.

I don't post much but I gotta say I'm going to genuinely miss the ill community a lot of y'all have provided me with so many priceless moments of entertainment from the exposures to the roasts. I have so many inside jokes accumulated over the years from this site that I wish I could share with others on the outside but they would have the appreciation of the legendary threads that have sadly declined over the past few years.

I started lurking around 04 and I won't lie I took my sweet time observing how shit went before signing up in 05. I witnessed the demise of so many posters on the ill streets. Motto should have been only the strong. Real shit it was truly the Wild West on this forum in the early 2000s where one wrong move could end your posting career as well as spill out into your real life. I learned from others mistakes from avoiding clicking links to posting pictures without first uploading them from a third party app. Shit never really was the same after the hacks and the site taking forever to be upgraded lost a ton of quality posters. Reading over these posts definitely has me reminiscing the forums classic moments and I truly wish there was a way to resurrect the preupgrade threads.

With that's said shoutout to the cheapseats yall knowledge has helped me win countless bets especially in the boxing and NFL threads my bank account thanks you. I will miss the banter in the football/soccer thread this is where I ultimately found my posting home. It's a diverse bunch of supporters from all over the world and with the prem just starting back up ill miss the Saturday/Sunday morning jokes. If this is going to be one of my final post I'll just Man united are going to win the prem and I the final cheapseats fantasy prem season.

There's too many posters for me to mention although I'd definitely have a Canadian bias so big ups to all my north side posters. To the American Caribbean and European posters thank you for sharing your many views and experiences as these different perspectives on the variety of topics have definitely broadened my understandings of your cultures and I can say I'm wiser thanks to that.

After being on this forum for so long I'd be lying if I said this was it for me because I said that same shit after the forums were down for like a year during the last upgrade. But the jokes definitely brought me back but with over 10 years on this site I don't know if I really care for another reset if it means another mass exodus of the few decent posters that are left. But if the quality humor and debates ultimately make it to the new site you can count me in.
