Been here since '03. Moderated for quite a few years. Stopped posting a few years ago and lurked every so often since. I've probably made 30,000+ posts; introduced many to Kendrick Lamar - amongst others; produced the Playlists of the Month - including the Japanese Joy series; Artists of the Month and a bunch of other threads that a smaller part of the community loved. :tu

Thanks to contributors in The Essence and The Reason - I learned a lot over the years. As the original posters left, this place lost a lot of old school hip hop knowledge, but it's still great to see some of the posters from shortly thereafter still posting here and sharing great music.

Are we going to have some downtime? You're still going to call us the Ill Community, right?

I literally went from a young adult to an old father figure on this forum

I went from posting as a young married soldier on my 2nd deployment

to getting out of the military and now being a divorced oldhead running my own business

along the way I got to know way too many strangers personal business....some of ya'll lives are truly wrecks that always managed to make me feel better about my own shit :joy:

a couple other posters grew up with me too........never thought I be posting long enough for @Kat to become somebody's wife..........anything is truly possible

I'm gon try the new site, but I can already tell it might not be my speed..........looks like I'm gon be one of those OGs lost to the upgrade

I went from college kid to graduating university, completing a post-grad, became a teacher and now I'm a business owner too... I'm with you on the 'upgrade'... I've not been around the I.C. the past few years or more - too busy with life - finally have a minute to jump back in and this shit happens.

I didn't know Kat got married - congrats! I am always amazed when females stay around on the I.C. they're a rare breed - so many came and went after being outed - ruthless I.C. at its finest moments.
