Most of the people who recognize Rakim and Kool G Rap probably won't call Wayne a legend. But this baby hip hop generation most lifely will.

Lol Wayne could retire right now and would be a legend hell he made dedication 2 and that mixtape came out in 2006 his popularity as risen to astronomical heights since he dropped that even when that Carter 2 dropped in 2005 with fireman and he did that song with T.I. and destiny child" soldier" you could see his commercial popularity begin to shift because us hip-hop heads already knew about Wayne in his hotboys days but there are group of people who do not know about his early days rapping and only know him from his mixtapes from 2005-2008.

Ionknow bout that. Wayne does have Carter 1&2. Plus I know plenty of niggas who used to fuck with Wayne when I was in high school that would put The Block is Hot and 500 Degreez up there too. Wayne was a mainstay downsouth long before Carter 2.

I was in high school in ATL when "Block Is Hot" dropped and the opinion was that it was decent for a 16 year old, but nothing special.

IMO the only albums Weezy has that are above 4 mics are C1 and C2.

Face it people. A lot of people thought Carter IV was goin to be the start of the ending for Wayne but it proved the total opposite. Face it when its gametime wayne shows up and shows out.....jeggings and all lol. Wayne has overcome what happens to most rappers that start at an early age, he ANCHOR a whole rap label when everybody walked away & wrote them out, now when EVERYBODY said it was over he does it again. Wayne is only 30 with a LOT of career left in him and since he has left them drugs alone probably has helped his career more than we all know. so to answer ur question......YES when its all said in done like it or not he will be a legend.
