Take Care is a Hiphop/R&B album

808s is a pop/electronica album

Lol....I mean, you don't understand what I'm saying. Kanye West, a rapper, made a whole album singing about love. That's Common's homie...

Drake makes Take Care, says countless times what the album is gonna be like, and it turns out to meet those expectations.

What's the difference between what Kanye did and what Drake did? Drake never said "this is straight hip hop" as far as I know, he has always said the album will feature many different musical elements...

This Dizzmatic cat got 600+ posts of Drake capery. Please kill yourself and stop disrespecting Gangstarr with that AVI.

Drake came in the game doing the soft shit we used to diss LL, Ja, Nelly, and 50 for. Most rappers graduate to that after they've already established a track record of being lyrically nice or more hardcore. Drake started out like that. Talking about maybe his 3rd fucking album will be more hip hop? FOH. You only get one shot to introduce yourself and people are gonna label you based on how you make that introduction.

Listen to Common's 1st cd and get back to me with that him and Drake do the same thing b/s.

808s wasn't a hip hop album
TML and Take Care are hip hop albums

False @ the bolded. Check your facts first before you start catching feelings.

As far as Drake stanning goes, if you go through the thread you can see I like both artists, but I don't support the diss because Common is guilty of doing "soft" shit too. If you find something that says otherwise, then post it, but if not, fall back

Isn't your whole point that they are not hip hop albums?

But it's ok if the same artist does some singing shit, as long as it's not in the vein of hip hop?

i never said they weren't hip hop albums, idk where you're getting that from
Drake always says he makes hip hop music, if he went out and said i'm gonna make a r&b or a pop album, then sure go ahead

Hip Hop means many different things to many different people, that can't be debated.

the difference is kanye made 1 experimental album in a catalogue full of HIP HOP CLASSICS.

drake has only dropped 2 albums, 1 a hip pop/r&b album and 1 that was a charmin extra soft r&b album (w/some rap verses).

drake has yet to drop a FULL straight up hip hop album. you can't say the same for kanye, or even ja rule for that matter.

that's the difference.

Ummmm. Nobody was checking for his first mixtape.

So Far Gone was his official introduction to the mainstream and he came soft with it. Even Kanye had the balls to make College Dropout his rap debut instead of 808's.
