I teared up when Vegeta told Trunks to not give up.

Shit was powerful as fuck

He smiled like a proud dad watching Trunks take on Goku. He also helped Cabba and told him to be greater than him. Fuck has Goku done with Goten? Run, make him do HIS work with the tractor, and constantly dip on him to train.

It shows character growth in vegeta. Normally he would of been like "dry your tears boy"

Vegeta been like this since the end of Buu when he first calls Goku by his name and not Kakarot

Oh my god the filler episodes are golden in DBS. Lol this hercule fighting the lion race episode was hilarious . Lmfao Goku made hercule punched him to get away from chichi

I think it's dope that Vegeta feels so much fatherly pride towards a man he literally never raised...I always felt like the Future Trunks - Vegeta storyline should have been expanded on. Trunks might only be half a saiyan...but this man gets shit done. He might never of met his future father, but he has the soul of Vegeta in him without any of the ignorance. I know DBZ isn't big on character development (funny enough the only character I feel they TRULY developed is the one the creator hates the most...Vegeta...which makes me question if homie knows what the fuck he's doing with this writing)...which is kind of depressing because these 2 have crazy potential together. Imagine Vegeta adopting the title of "king" and having Trunks deliver a monologue in heated battle about being the "Prince of all Saiyans"...but...hindsight is 20/20...but when you think about it...they fucked up so many opportunities to pass the torch. Gohan and Future Trunks could have been the main heroes by now...but it is what it is...

At the very least they gave each other one of the most G goodbyes in anime history

lol There has been a lot of develpment. I don't think people really pay that much attention.

Goku - hasn't changed much since he was a kid. That's kinda the point though. He's the pure hearted eternal child.

Vegeta - gone from being pure evil villain to a sometimes overly prideful person with genuine attachments to those around him.

Piccolo - was once an evil megalomaniac and now shares and almost familial affinity to the man who was once his greatest rival

Gohan - was once a shy kid that just wanted to make his dad proud, got older and seemed to be poised to take on his father's legacy, has now accepted that he's not that kind of person and has accepted the role of a family man (for now).

You can make arguments for the other characters too. I'd say Vegeta has grown the most followed, but everyone is much different than what they were in DB/DBZ except Goku. I think that's why people think there is no character growth in the DB series. Since the main character doesn't change, people seem to think now one changes.

Its crazy when you realize that Piccolo inadvertently kicked off 2 sagas just by talking that shit to Raditz after they killed him. Think about it;

Vegeta and Nappa would've never come to Earth.

Piccolo wouldn't have died fighting the Saiyans, so niggas would've never had to go to Namek to find the other dragon balls.

Frieza and his army would have never been introduced

Niggas would've never met the Ginyu Force.

They would've never linked up with the Namekians.

Goku wouldn't have gone Super Saiyan when he did, or learned Instant Transmission because he never was out there.

No first or second Cooler movie lol.

True but had he not done that they wouldve been washed by gero and them

The Game of Thrones writers should make this live action and HBO should give them a bigger budget (for the sake of kamehamehas, teleports, and Shenron)
