Maybe they can go in another direction with Sayian transformations than just changing their hair. Sure they're a humanoid race, but so is just about every other creature in the DB mythos. Maybe make them look less human altogether to enforce that it's a true rare form, separate but maybe a combination of the ape and golden ape forms.

The blue hair is just so ridiculous looking.

I don't really think that's the way to go. Honestly, as others have said, they had it right with the SSJ4 transformation. The tail was back and they were given fur and eyes that connected them back to their roots as weird man/ape hybrids.

I guess SSJ4 IS what I was getting at. But even if they didn't want to use that form, they could coming up with something different but with the same core concept of man/ape combo.

I saw somewhere that the blueper saiyan god form is an analogy for fire as the hottest part of the flame is blue.

I think it's an interesting idea. Of course I also read that the blue form isn't stronger than the red one so I don't know.

I'm going to see how AT explains it.

AT isn't the brightest star in the sky that's for sure. I don't know of is say he ruining the series though. I think he trying new directions but he won't change too much at one time.

Right now he seems to be throwing a lot at us at once: Gods, separate universes, new forms for Frieza and the heroes and it's got people up in arms.

I'm just trying to figure out his angle with this blueper saiyan stuff. I'm not really concerned with much else. Gold Frieza is a bit interesting too though.
