U are right. He just fell off though. For a time period X was really unmatched in the heartfelt category. He poured his soul in his music. I dont wanna compare him to Pac. But basically his music isnt the same as it was. Even though Grand champ is slept on.

I'm glad you said that..

People think Grand Champ is where he fell off..

That was a good album, not great, but good.

Yes I think his weak album is his last one and the great depression. The rest are either great or good.

Both were as real as it gets. 2pac is the much greater artist though, no competition. Me Against The World is better than DMX's whole career. And I like X.

I dig both Pac and Dmx, they're both legends, I think that X would be ranked higher if he was murdered 10 years ago

Who can argue this statement with valid reasons as to why I'm wrong?

Broke the record for the most #1 albums upon release (Billboard record).

Countless plat plaques.

Never switched up or sold out..

Better songs all round, with more emotional range..

Yeh, X won easy.

IMO Year of the Dog...Again is X only sub par album. The Great Depression and Grand Champ were dope.

DMX's emotion on songs > any other rapper in history

He poured his soul on every CD.

And he didnt switch up, Pac switched.

Even with the Sisqo song, he kept it 1000

DMX is the shit but you comparing him to t he wrong one
tha fact you comparing him to Pac means Pac was the shit

Shakur began serving his prison sentence at Clinton Correctional Facility on February 14, 1995. Shortly afterwards, he released his multi-platinum album Me Against the World. Shakur is the only artist ever to have an album at number one on the Billboard 200 while serving a prison sentence. The album made its debut on the Billboard 200 and stayed at the top of the charts for five weeks. The record album sold 240,000 copies in its first week, setting a record for highest first week sales for a solo male rap artist at the time.

More Songs Then All of Ruff Ryders Together plus u gtta giv him love for the double cd albums

I heard he took the rap for one of his homies.
In October 1993, in Atlanta, two brothers and off-duty police officers, Mark and Scott Whitwell, were with their wives celebrating Mrs. Whitwell's recent passing of the state bar examination. As they crossed the street, a car with Shakur inside passed by them or "almost struck them", after which the Whitwells began an altercation with the driver, Shakur and the other passengers, which was then joined by a second passing car. One officer was shot in the buttocks, and the other in the leg, back, or abdomen, according to varying news reports. There were no other injuries, but Mark Whitwell was charged with firing at Shakur's car and later lying to the police during the investigation, and Shakur with the shooting, until prosecutors decided to drop all charges against all parties.

Cuda been him cuda been his homies either way jst form the staement u no they were getting busy even with police

Listerning to Slippin by DMX one of my favs but pac is number 1 all day

Why is that everyone gives Eminem a free pass for being a drug addict but yet they all dismiss DMX for the same thing? Talent wise I put DMX up there with any great rapper dead or alive, he's a legend no doubt

You must be smoking crack, seriously. Don't ever compare 2pac to a crackhead bass head like DMX. Sign the fuck off and come back on in 10 days. The crack in your brain is too fresh right now.

Eminem takes a loss for his drug habit but at least he hasn't fallen off like X has. Eminem still drops hot music, X on the other hand.....

Yeh, X won easy.

Pac was released his first album in '91 and reached his peak in '96 while still alive. DMX released his first solo album in'98 which was the peak of his career. His sales and album quality declined after '98 with the release of each album. In a 5 year period, DMX fell off where Pac was growing and excelling in a five year period. By 2004, DMX was no longer relevant. Even in death Pac is still more relevant than X. "Changes" is more impactful and powerful than any X song. That isn't even counting the other classics that he released. Outside of "Ruff Ryders Anthem" what DMX song is an undeniable classic.

In the realm of movies, both of them have hood classics, but Pac still has DMX in that regard being that he has two hood classics in "Poetic Justice" and "Juice" to DMX's one in "Belly."
