I dont know weather to just go back to the main board or just type SMH...

Comparing careers of 1 rapper who's career led to his repeated jail sentances, crack addictoin and loss of millions of dollars and potential GOAT arguments to another rapper who'se career led to his death lol

I'll just say they both made great music and left us all wishing they did more.

And what does he have to show for it? A crack addiction, in and out of jail, and ducking out of boxing matches.

all pac did was get shot and die. you dont see 50 cent dyin

This is a fair argument, the only thing that gives Pac the edge is the fact that he makes better songs, and thats the most important thing to me. I like DMX too though.

shut up. listen, i grew up on west coast shit, seen, pac was my nigga when i was like 12, 13 i was a pac stan if you would call it, thug life all day. but as i started to diversify my hip hop portfolio i started fuckin wit X. i think he got dope lyrics, he mad real and you can feel the mans emotion on his songs. thats the type of shit i like real shit, (unlike everybody on here thats on lil jimmys dick.) X is the man, crackhead of not. he may have fallen off but his first 3 are classics. pac's legacy has been used abused over and over for certain ppls personal profit. to me when i listen to pac, i love the nigga but it aint the same as it was to me when i was 12, 13. happy nigga?

IMO. Me against the World >>> any DMX album.

Its Dark and Hell is Hot was a fucking dope album all the way through.

I like the old DMX. He did come on the scene crazy. Everybody was bumping that Ruff Ryders anthem, and Get at Me Dog, and I mean everybody. He had a good run.

I think Pac had more platinum plaques though.

They're both crazy. Its just DMX fell the fuck off and fucked up his legacy. Who knows though maybe Pac wouild've too if he was around longer.

lol wtf? Have no idea why you're coming at me for saying that, it's a fair statment but that the TS didnt really give us any insight behind it besides a couple of sales stats and an couple opinions...

FIrst off i really hope that Lil Jimmy's comment isnt at me b/c u have no idea who i listen to and lets just say i wouldnt post in the Reason if the Essence was popping.

So as i'm trying to hold back my laughter of you saying youre diversifying your rap portfolio by going from 2pac to DMX...

What really that i said (fair staement, but TS backed it up bad) do you have a problem with?

Broke the record for the most #1 albums upon release (Billboard record). Um Ok so now we are deeming sales as a better meaning having a better career, ok i'll let this slide, but how does this mean DMX is reeler than 2pac?

Countless plat plaques. Again please see above, How does having countless plat plaques (as does 2pac) even touch on him being realier

Never switched up or sold out.. This means his careerr was better? Might touch on him being realier but maybe give us 1 way that 2pac sold out so we know where your coming from?

Better songs all round, with more emotional range.. Lastly a complete opinion by someone w/o even listing songs is lame. And 2pac didnt have any emotional range?

It's 2010, making broad statement w/o backing shit up? We off that

first off i wouldnt be afraid to walk by eitrher of them... But since youre lookig for an answer i'll give you it to you, i guess it would be DMX considering he's bigger but that's about it.... again i wouldnt be afraid to walk by either of them...

And again how does me worrying about which one would do me in quicker even touch on which one had a better career and which one was realier?

obviously we have a misunderstanding. my bad. the lil jimmy comment was for whoever feelin him. now by diversifying my portfolio, nigga i got a book off hundreds of cds. i got somethin of everybody. so cut the shit. pac got hits, everybody kno this we all kno the fuckin pac songs, i aint sayin he aint shit, but if im being asked who i think is realer between pac and x, im rollin wit x. plain and simple.

I didn't read every post, so I apologize if I'm repeating anything. But I don't know about DMX holding the record for most #1 records upon release. I think he's the only artist to ever have 2 number one albums in the same year. And I don't really see this as a fair comparison because DMX is still alive. Fallen off or not, as long as he's still breathing, there's always the chance for a comeback. DMX is one of the best live performers I've ever seen. A couple of years back I saw him perform with Limp Bizkit and Godsmack. He did a solid 2 hour show complete with all the barking and yelling and never lost his voice. That alone was impressive. But the biggest difference to me is DMX's first 3 albums were his best and Pac's first 3 were his worst (I'm only considerring albums made while he was alive). Where as DMX fell off with the quality of his albums, Pac's improved with each release. But the movie that is DMX's life is not over. And personally, I'd love to see him make a comeback.

GTFOH

CRACK Discounts All of DMX's album and accolades in the hood. He would suck a dogs d*ck if he would hit a crap stick. Pac Vs DMX?? Not even an issue or something that should be discussed. I refuse to follow a crackhead.
