Damn. You know, I've got mad respect for X as an artist, but as a man, not so much. I mean, I've had my share of drug problems, so I do sympathize, to an extent. But as someone who has literally done every drug under the sun at least once, I have more sympathy for people struggling with opiate (heroin, syrup, pain killers, etc.) addiction than a cocaine or marijuana addiction. Simply because cocaine, and marijuana, are not physically addictive. Mentally addictive, but not physically. You're not gonna have a seizure and break your back detoxing off of coke or weed. I'm not tryin to downplay his addiction because drugs effect everyone in different ways. So the only person that really knows how bad it is, is X himself. Personally though, if I had that much to lose, I could put down cocaine forever. But I don't think it's fair to put him in a different category than celebrities that snort powder. Cocaine is cocaine. I still haven't given up on him though. He's still one of the best live performers I've ever seen in concert. He still released 2 of the most commercially successful hardcore rap albums ever. He still had 2 #1 albums in the same year. So no matter what happens, no one can take that away from him.
