I'm not calling them cheesy. I just thought MOS was a great film. It's in my all time top 5 to 7 superhero films solely for the action.

This nigga tryin to get shot. You don't disrespect old school Superman flicks that came b4 MOS.

Man of Steel was trash and it's not because it wasn't Superman: The Movie but because it was generally mediocre. It makes sense though cause it was a rushed production. I expect the follow ups to be much more polished.

I hope dc utilizes theif lesser known characters. Like marvel did with guardians and ant man. I wanna see animal man, hawkman, and loads of others.

Just like he does with everything else, Batman is dominating the DC Cinematic Universe.

According to rumors from Warner Bros. insiders, the future of DC Movie slate will now center around Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight. The sudden (but really, unsurprising) pivot came after an early cut of Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice was shown to a small group of Warner Bros. executives. The big wigs were reportedly so impressed with the film, that they gave it a standing ovation.

And much of that applause was for Ben Affleck and his performance as Batman. The executives are so impressed, in fact, that they are reportedly trying to get Affleck on-board for three stand-alone Batman films. Affleck’s Batman, and these movies, would reportedly become the cornerstone of DC’s other movies, with one Warner boss reportedly calling Affleck the “definitive Batman.”

Since these reports are unconfirmed or credited, just treat them as rumors for now. But seeing as how Batman is, well, Batman, we wouldn’t be surprised if there was some truth to the story.

Would you like to see Ben Affleck’s Batman stick around for three solo films? Let us know in the comments.

Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 26, 2016.

Rumors were when affleck signed that he signed for 9 movie appearances. Were just rumors but a good 6/10 turn out true in these marvel/dc movie threads.

Matt Ryan will reprise his role as John Constantine in the upcoming season of Arrow, The CW announced today at the Television Critics Association. "It's a great one-shot episode," mentioned Mark Pedowitz during the CW's presentation.

Constantine, which ran for 13 episodes on NBC last season, became a cult favorite with a huge social media presence and a significant "Save our show" effort when it was announced that NBC wasn't ordering a back nine, or later a second season.

The CW was considered a "last hope" for Constantine to get a second-season pickup before the cast and crew's contracts lapsed earlier this summer. In the time since, fans have continued to press Arrow producers on the possibility of a crossover, and producers continue to say, essentially, that they hope they can make it happen but have no promises for anyone.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim had previously said that Constantine was considered as a potential "expert" they could have called upon during Season Three to give Oliver Queen the lowdown on the Lazarus Pit and other seemingly-mystical elements of Ra's al Ghul's mythology. While that never happened, magic and mysticism are themes that will be explored to a greater extent in Season Four.

Arrow returns with new episodes starting October 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT Wednesdays on The CW.

Remember that Tom Hardy interview from a few months back?

HARDY: I actually got something cooking with Warner Bros. which is also a comic book, it’s a DC thing which is kind of…

Oh you should really share because I’m not a journalist, no one’s recording this.

HARDY: It’s really good actually, it contains elements of all kinds of stuff. From Ocean’s Eleven, to Batman, you can get all the wrappers out and it would be a big, really cool, Technicolor, Pulp Fiction…It’s a psychological fuckfest, it’s absolutely awesome. It’s as if you would take Transmetropolitan and make it happen, but it’s not that out there it’s something which is much more real world. It could be like Heat, it could be fucking awesome. Let me tell you what it is, try and guess.

I’m not gonna guess because I have to go, because he’s gonna kill me. But I just wanna know

HARDY: Anybody…

No, but you know what I’m saying. I’m trying to be respectful with the time. My thing is, they have a schedule through 2020 that they’ve announced movies. Is what you wanna do something that’s not on that

schedule?

HARDY: It’s not even a movie.

So it’s something you’ve seen…

HARDY: It’s already… It’s real estate, it’s PRIME real estate which is sitting there right under everybody’s nose that no one’s really thought about yet and it goes TV and movie, it’s awesome. I can’t believe that nobody has even –I know they thought of it but no one has actually blown life into it yet.

mystery solved

Tom Hardy Tackling Vertigo Comic '100 Bullets' for New Line (Exclusive)

The 'Mad Max' actor is producing with an eye to star in the adaptation of the gritty comic.

New Line and Tom Hardy are loading up on 100 Bullets.

In the first move since assuming oversight of DC Entertainment’s Vertigo comics imprint from corporate parent Warner Bros., New Line is developing an adaptation of the acclaimed comic by Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso.

Hardy, who played villain Bane in The Dark Knight Rises as well as starred in this summer’s Mad Max: Fury Road, is on board to produce the adaptation with an eye to star. He will produce with Dean Baker via the duo’s Hardy Son & Baker production shingle.

The project is already down the line in development, having a script by Chris Borrelli, whose credits include the recent supernatural horror movie The Vatican Tapes.

Running for 100 issues from 1999 to 2009, the acclaimed comic centered on an enigmatic man named Agent Graves as he presents different people, for reasons unknown, with a gun, the identity of the person who ruined their lives … and a hundred rounds of untraceable ammunition.

Over the course of the series emerged a large crime saga that won accolades in the form of Eisner and Harvey Awards for Azzarello, Risso and the comic.

The plot for movie is being kept locked in a briefcase but insiders say the plan is to stay true to the comic.

Geoff Johns and Adam Schlagman are overseeing for DC while Richard Brener, Walter Hamada and Dave Neustadter run point for New Line.

In a reshuffling of the slate that occurred in late June, New Line absorbed production and development of DC’s Vertigo, the imprint that tends to be edgier, creator-focused and multigenre when compared with DC Comics proper, the home of four-color heroes such as Batman, Wonder Woman and the Flash.

New Line is overseeing the adaptation of Sandman, the Vertigo title created by Neil Gaiman that has Joseph Gordon-Levitt involved as star and director but that was already in active development at Warners when the transfer occurred. 100 Bullets is the first Vertigo feature project to actively move forward in any way since New Line took over the imprint.

The project was previously in the chamber to be a television series with David Goyer involved and was also being developed as a movie by Akiva Goldsman's Weed Road.

Hardy’s Fury Road has grossed over $372 million worldwide for Warners. He next will reunite with his Inception co-star Leonardo DiCaprio for Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's revenge Western, Revenant, and also plays twin gangsters in Working Title’s crime drama Legend.

He and Hardy Son & Baker are currently producing Taboo for FX and BBC One in partnership with Ridley Scott and Scott Free London.

Hardy is repped by CAA and United Agents in London. Borrelli is repped by APA and DMG.
